Totally agree. He only decided to have custody so that he didn't have to pay support to the mother or the grandmother. Then he was stuck with a young child, who he didn't even know for the first 4yrs of his little life. It must have really cramped his lifestyle. Life WP for this POS at least he'll never have the chance to father or abuse another child.

He did not die slowly , the mother took him to doctor n they told her they were gonna transport him to hospital, that’s when boy was with her, she knew he would die, cause she beat him up, and hurried him to dads so he’d get blamed for it, he was internally bleeding, the father didn’t know,

And the mothers not?! She’s the one that had him and took him to hospital, then left, and rushed him to dads, she knew what was going on! She planned the whole thing down she could start a ho fund me and buy drugs for the rest of her life

Agree….people are quick to shame addicts but we can get clean and stay clean!! Some people just have to fight a little longer than others. I’ve been clean 9 years but my daughter is 6, I had her after I got clean. But I have the utmost respect for any addict trying to get clean

It seemed like they said the kid died over a week after that treadmill video, which in my opinion wasn't all that terrible. The kid wasn't hurt he stood up and jumped back on the treadmill and ran. Every story I see on the internet paints an equally bad picture about the internet and news anchors as well as the father.

I agree, Corey wasn’t even crying or begging for it to stop- he wasn’t even pulling away when “dad” was digging his teeth into poor little Corey’s head! It is my belief that Corey was horrifically abused for the entire 2 years Christopher had any custody of Corey; the treadmill incident wasn’t even a fraction of the abhorrent abuse that sweet little guy was subjected to. I truly hope he is at peace somewhere, surrounded by love and happiness.

Corey only knew his father since 5 years of age, he was a stranger that came into his life for 1 year, after taking him from his mother who had cared for her son for 5 years. Cruel and unnecessary to remove Corey from a loving home into his abusive home 😠

I know, especially on the heels of the Harmony Montgomery trial which upset me more than ever. This boy is so beautiful, he is a blessing, how can anyone abuse an innocent child. The picture of Corey with his dog made me cry.

Me either. Why would you go after some guy for child support who didn't even know about the kid? It's crazy the system just let's women use children as a meal ticket on unsuspecting men. They really should fix the support system to reflect the new "my body my choice" mentality. My paycheck, my choice. You shouldn't be forced to pay a drug addict who got herself pregnant. If they didn't force people to pay women for their mistakes that kid would still be alive and that guy would have never known him.

That’s why he came into the little boy’s life later on. She didn’t go after him for child support the system went after him for child support. I believe she was initially filing for welfare or some type of assistance. Also, he only took that little boy because he didn’t want to pay child support his cheap ass. He didn’t care about that little boy sadly. He should’ve just left him with his mom. He would’ve been alive. She ain’t perfect, but she didn’t kill her baby. I believe a big part of the reason why he was able to take Corey away so swiftly aside from the drugs is the fact that his family has money they could afford to go back-and-forth in court.

Everyone is saying she got herself pregnant at 16 she was sexually assaulted and became pregnant he was 21 why wasn't he arrested for the assault on a 16 year old ? Now wait till he is in prison he will come up against some big burley men they will have fun with him. The only way he will be safe in prison is if they keep him in solitary confinement. That may not even work because of the prison guards . I hope he gets life without parole. They need to put a treadmill in the prison where he is staying at . They will make him run on that treadmill all the time!!!!

@kell8_ I have to try and catch up watching at night after work... has there been any evidence presented that shows he was diagnosed with sepsis? So far, I've only heard the defense state that... but his labs at the hospital the night before were normal, so I'm cloudy on the whole sepsis diagnosis.

@sunnystormy4973, I've done Child protective services in two different states and can verify that the system was too broken to protect children in either state. I reached the point I couldn't eat or sleep because I could see the state was going to return children to their parents even though they continued to demonstrate that they were not capable of providing a safe environment for their children. When I testified in court re: brothers who were 4 and 5 not being safe with their father, I was called a "home wrecker" by the the district attorney for doing an emergency removal on a Friday evening after their father locked them inside the bedroom of the family's mobile home and set fire to it. Thank God I was able to get the local Sheriff's department there before the boys perished and dad who was on a lot of drugs, decided to kill me. He had promised to kill me and I fully believed he meant to keep that promise. I wrote a long letter to my department and tendered my resignation. The last I heard from a family member that still lives in the area, the children's grandfather remains both politically connected and extremely corrupt. My relative didn't know if either of the children were still alive.

The state of NJ is the one who started this paternity investigation because the mother signed Corey up for Medicaid. His mother did the best she could to protect that boy.
