Absolutely! Without any exaggeration to convince, I have probably watched this presentation 20 times, and every single one of his books is on my bookshelf. With the exception of my father, I miss this man more than any other in history. I was always worried about his drinking and smoking, and would possibly have given a couple of my own years to add to his life. PS: now off to the bookshelf to read God is not great, again, for the third time.
Seriously, me too. I miss him so much more than 99.9% of the recently departed. In my opinion he was probably the greatest man of the century, and a bit beyond.
Host : but Sir, we're playing a little fantasy game. CH : I understand perfectly, I'm not as slow on the uptake as you seem to propose, how many times do I have to tell you. I make the assumption along with you and I give you my response to it... Me : classic hitchslap 😂😂😂😂
14:05 “You just want to live your own autonomous way, living any way that you want to, any lifestyle you prefer…” The interviewer didn’t even realize he just made the case against his own worldview.
I can live in anyway i want and just have to hold myself accountable to my fellow brothers and sisters and not to a capricious and petty divine Big Brother? That sounds terrible!
The whole interview summed up: “Imagine if my authoritarian religion were true. Wouldn’t that be awesome?” “No.” “Aren’t you guilty before God?” “No because there isn’t one.” “You just want to live your own way outside the confines of my authoritarian religion.” “Yup.”
Yes. I think the implication he was trying to make was Christopher must reject religion because he is living in immoral ways in hi private life that he doesn't want to be held accountable for. A childlike point lol
Then proceeds to blatantly deny the fact the Bible does in fact call for slavery and genocide lmao. Either in denial about his beliefs or hasn’t read them too intently lol. 😂
Imagine being this guy - right before the show probably thinking "I'm going to get this guy, I'm the one guy who can make him understand the majesty of God and Christ - I'm the guy to do it!!"... Then Hitchens turns up and pisses all over his rug. 🤣😂 I wonder at what point in the interview he realised his plan had completely backfired, and he was made to look a bit of a tit. Probably never, tbh.
The game should be called ... "how to push an agenda and come off looking like a jerk" Christopher is missed but not forgotten ... and through these videos will live on to continue to cast light on the sinister concepts held by so many.
“There’s no prohibition of child abuse, any more than there is any prohibition of slavery or genocide in the Ten Commandments. Um, so I don’t care about those either particularly…” “HaVE yOu mAde Any GraVen ImagES…?” The stark contrast of intellect here never fails to be hilarious to me.
@@isaacwilson7769 Did Jesus have a dog? No? Well he must've been one of those gays 🙃 PS: I wonder if his disciples were moths PPS: Hitch and Norm, two of my favourite people of all time, snatched away far too early.
I find it very amusing that Todd is all the time like "what if i am right" and not accepting any answer besides total submission and glorification from CH which of couse wouldn't happen lol
Ths guy tipped his hand way too early. This isn't a friendly mind game, this is just a thinly veiled grievance match that hes taking out on hitchens and hitchens is having absolutely none of it LOL
This whole “he sacrificed his life for you” is bullcrap anyway. Jesus didn’t sacrifice anything. He didn’t even die. The whole thing that makes sacrificing one’s life such an amazing act is the permanence of death. Jesus woke up a few days later as a god. There’s nothing amazing about that. I dare say that it’s a decision any of us would make. “Hey, you’re gonna get whipped and crucified, and it’s gonna be extremely painful, but you’ll save the life of everyone on the planet, and you’ll wake up in a few days as Superman.” I’m in. Easy.
The radio presenter's utter dumbfoundedness at the idea anyone wouldn't worship God, consider God good or wouldn't consider Jesus's 'sacrafice' an "act of kindness" is baffling. How detached from reality is this guy? With that logic, you're parents are the ones who should own you as a slave, given they made you and raised you.
So this interviewer believes in slavery, because you are owned as an individual, and then he questions the tenet that 'religion poisons everything'. QED.
Maybe I'm confused, but the interviewer sounds just like every other fool grifting their cult. How do you draw the rogue AI parallel when this same gibberish has been attempted for thousands of years now?
Hey thinks he got a slam dunk by saying that Hitchens only believes what he believes because it's enjoyable. Basically a dumb way to try to attack the character of the person you're speaking with rather than what they're saying.
Second hand cringe. Host keeps repeating “what if” as if that needs any further clarification. Hitchens responds in an intelligent, detailed manner - host just needs whacky bells and horns to honk every so often
Hitchens: “…I know the Bible does call for slavery as it calls for genocide, but that doesn’t make it right.” Friel: “Yeah well, it doesn’t, but we’re playing WHAT IF…” 🤦♂️
"So, just a hypothetical, (blathers on about the bible) don't you think that's true?" "No, (gives a reason) "But it is true" "I doubt that" "It's just a hypothetical"
Wretched is a good word to describe the interview. It was very bad! Like many of those who have been Hitchslapped, the interviewer seems unaware when he was receiving a round of it.
I believe in God, albeit a different version than of that which they’re speaking, and I still go with Hitch on this one, every time, as much as he’d have tons of worthy arguments against me. So sad he’s gone.
