Brother Christopher explains what it means to understand in Daniel 12:10. He also describes what it means to be honorable as it pertains to Psa 49:20. We were created in God's image. He wants us to know Him personally. Heb 2:7 says we were created a little lower than the angels. The little lower can mean for a little while lower. The onlooking universe is seeing what God is doing in recreating us in His image. We are the reality show of the universe. When we understand who we are and God's plans for us, we will better be able to deal with Satan's temptations. We will be able to stand like Daniel.
