@@jimmywheelo would you add a song mode to a guitar? The DT is a sample-based performance instrument, not a production centre. The fact it's good enough to warrant such feature requests as a song mode is testament to its strengths but a song mode isn't part of the ethos of the instrument

This is the way techno should be. Constantly evolving sounds. Something that’s very lacking in most ableton produced techno. Why isn’t all techno like this? Oh that’s because of something called talent :) brilliant!

Don't really get your comment. If you want all techno to sound like this, how do you think tehchno sets are gonna sound? Not all tracks has to be evolving and so breathing. It's amazing jam, love it, but we need all kind of techno for variation. Even those in the simplest form for some warm ups on the dance floor or easy listen ;)

hard to argue that / this performace is gut grabbing, i love it. but i still wish it had a song mode. you see... ive got a guitar in my hands, and a mic at my face. and this little box is just shy of perfect for what ive been needing.

more options, harder to grasp, not as much visual information to make workflow easier ... more expensive, but ! the octatrack has a song mode and can do a lot of what the digitakt can do. second hand mk1 octatrack similar price point for digitakt.
