I wanted to do another style for fun, and well ... honestly, I'm really happy with the result!
It's finally interesting to have a very targeted machine!
my little 101 also does its job well! it simply increases my creativity!

I originally wanted an MV-1 but bought the 101 instead. I then wondered if maybe I couldn’t still buy the Verselab and use the two together, so Googled it and found this. Thank you for demonstrating the possibilities. Can’t wait to watch the other vids you have posted.

Does it make any sense to use both though? I have thought the same but more because I think the workflow on the MV-1 seems to be better if you want to create a full song with vocals

@@magnuseriksson8081 What bothers me about buying both is that some amount of the purchase price of each is for the licensing of the sounds, and they are identical. So you're paying for them twice. I also don't see how I could get a track from the 101 into the MV-1 for DAW-less recording. If I can't do that, then it's not worth it for me. For live performances though (of which I do none), I think using both together would be cool.

@@WAGinWNY I agree 100%, I think like this and maybe because I spend too much time on the gear than I should, we should create music. Anyway, I see the 101 as a great tool that you can bring with you anywhere and the Verslab stays at home most of the time and if I can transfer my files from 101 to Verslab, I would go for it and with Verslab I can record my vocals too. I think I would like the workflow on Verslab more but it should come with more sounds.

Do you have the sound of the MC101 going into the Verselab? I'm hoping that I'll be able to do that. I want the MC101 sound into the Verselab be included in the Verselab mixdown. Is that possible?

I have the exact same question, and is it worth while to add the Verslab to your studio, what are the benefits, can I connect all my other synths to record them on Verslab etc. I got the 101 and Microfreak now,

So now that you've had some time to work with it what are your thoughts and opinions on the verselab, are there any particular shortcomings and how is the workflow is it intuitive or do you end up having to do menu diving my one big question with it is are you able to do a vocal track and then bounce it to another track to be able to do backing vocals the one vocal track is really kind of problematic imo but maybe there's a workaround

I appreciate the mv-1's workflow to create a track quickly, directly from inspiration to creation, for live it is not very practical, I think it is not made for that, and I don't use the menus too much, as I said, the mv-1 is really built for a specific style of music,

My understanding was that it’s a vocal ‘group’ as opposed to a single ‘track’; so 16 takes that can be placed wherever you want on the song, either individually or in conjunction with each other. So a separate take for each verse (3) a take for the hook/chorus (3+1) leaving 12 possible takes for adlibs and backing vocals... The caveat being a maximum of a 12 minute limit across the 16 takes.

Is the fuzzy sound on purpose? Or is it unintentional clipping? It doesn't look like you have the sound from the MC101 going into the Verselab according to where the inputs are on the back of the V1. Could you check if we're able to include the incoming sound from the 101 into the V1's mixdown? Thanks in advance.

fuzzy sound is part of the track's concept ;),101 going directly on my soundcard, not on the MV-1

ouch .. levels are clipping out into the video.... probably sounded fine in the room whilst playing.... before the levels hit the video recorder. distorted.
