Hello In summary, the digitakt plays what you have programmed. You tinker with some sound settings from time to time and that's it. How long did you spend preparing everything? Would it be possible for you to create a similar piece in real time (live)? I'm asking because I'm tempted to buy an Elektron groovebox. It would be to make ambient, live music, starting from scratch. Does that seem possible to you? Easy ? I'm used to creating in the studio with a modular synthesizer, a monophonic analog synthesizer as master keyboard, with a MIDI sound expander for polyphonic stuff, a looper, a granular sampler, a drum machine (tr8s), and various other items that I don't want to carry outside of the studio. I am looking for a simple solution that is easy to transport, with as much as possible 1 button = 1 function. Or at least a fast and intuitive workflow. I had thought about an OT or AR, but I fear it will be difficult to easily create live. I'm ready to take the TR8s and RC 202 out of the studio, but no more. It would be necessary to find the Elektron model best suited to pair it with Do you have an opinion to share please?

Would you change this setup for an Elektron ARMK2 ? I also own a TR8s, and wonder if I should pair it with a DT like you, or buy an Analog Rytm. I am used to the workflow of the TR, but it would be great to benefit of the sampling ability of the AR. I can't decide... it's a dilemma !

The ultimate duo..not one is better than the other just different flexibility...when you have both there is nothing better in my opinion

@Cristopherkah first of all, this is sick. I have Analog Four MK2 and looking to pair it with a drum machine. Funny thing is that I am stuck between choosing the Digitakt and the TR8-S. I can't buy them both, so what would you recommend of the two? What was your experience so far? P.S. I am focusing only on the live perfomance side of things.

Nice simple setup and not crazy expensive. No time stretching on the digitakt though. I’ve been wanting to get back into music, the TR8s seems fun and versatile.
