@@namecannotbeblank3070 Inception is not entirely original. It's main element that is entering dreams is stolen from an anime movie 'paprika'. Even two scenes are completely identical. The creater of paprika had another movie named perfect blue. Oscar winning movie Black swan is a copy of that( yes they bought the rights). But I feel sad for the creater of paprika as most the people don't know him and his talent. His name is Satoshi kon.
@@assemaassemova2525 OMG you are such a DUMBASS Inception is a completely different movie . It's about IMPLANTING an Idea where paprika is a Chase of criminals in a Dream . You just want to Defame Hollywood and stand Different from others opinion . And Nolan Started writing Inception from 2002 and took 8 years to complete it . And I am sure In 1993 Christopher doesn't understand Japanese so he could not have understand the Comic. And the elevator scene and hotel scene are like totally different like North pole and south.
@@neelanshmishra97 I just watched paprika and I totally agree with u. Those are totally different storylines but some scenes maybe same. That's the reason these people keep saying nolan copied it. And I'd like to say I understood inception and Paprika was more complicated than inception cuz I didn't understand a single scene in Paprika lol bad for me.
Chris Nolan and Steven Spielberg; two of my favorite directors and writers who have really inspired me to do what I love doing the most is writing stories.
Someone with a mind so brilliant must be awfully bored of the average trivialities, which gives him reason to give off a cold front. His masterpieces give him the right.
@@tofansultani8472well paprika was written in 1995 and published in 2003 and then the movie came out in 2006 So was nolan writing inception from that early?
What is wrong with those journalists? You have the man with one of the most beautiful and fascinating minds sitting there right in front of you, you have the chance to ask him anything you want, about his work or the world or philosophy, but she chooses to ask the same formulaic questions that have already been asked and answered probably a million times - why?! Don't you want to learn anything new when you ask questions? He handled it gracefully, but some of the journalists comments were cringeworthy. Also it is never a good sign if the interviewer talks that much compared to the interviewee.
For me, it sux coz at first the movie was going very good with well astro physics and stuff.... but when it comes to the end, it started to suck as Chris used and added his own imagination which resulted rather than making the movie feel the real thing, it felt kinda kiddish for me. And moreover this looked more of a Zack Snyder movie rather than The one who made great titles like Memento, Batman Trilogy, The Prestige......
Kshitij Singh I agree, the ending kinda pissed me off, but I still like the film, cos of the visuals and characters. I still won't say it's a "bad" film though.
It's such an elegant movie...that's what I liked about it. Also it seems to have layers and depth. Where-as TDK did to, you can't compare them because they're two completely different films. This director is really awesome!
Anvar Yusupov are you really naive or you in purpose? obviously he took a lot from Paprika, just like many filmmakers took from Satoshi Kon.. If you watched Inception, you know not only the concept, but some scenes and images are IDENTICAL to Paprika. I believe it’s to honor Satoshi Kon obviously but yes Paprika was his main inspiration.
@@lollotrollo3268 even the set pieces were same/identical - which led me to believe that it certainly served as an inspiration for Nolan - i've also noticed that he takes a great deal of inspiration from Anime - but never publicly acknowledged it though
I've watched 5 of his films so far 1. Inception (A+) * 2. The Dark Knight (A+) * 3. The Dark Knight Rises (A) 4. Batman Begins (A-) 5. Interstellar (B+) *= in my top 10 favorite films of all time list. I'll watch his other films soon.
He doesn t need to be like Kubrick or Scorsese but he deserves to be mentioned along the great filmmakers because he´s a brilliant filmmaker and storyteller.
If he keeps up the pace and continues to make movies like Inception, The Prestige, Memento, and the Batman Trilogy; I would consider him to be one of the best of all time.
I really appreciate Christopher Nolan's determination to require a viewer to actually think about what they are watching. That's less common these days.
Honestly this man is incredible!! So smart and I wish I could speak his intelligent, smooth language:) From reading the comments below, I can't believe he only did 10 movie nad I have seen most of them and they are the best movies I have ever seen!
On my path to be a movie director/writer , this man is my ultimate inspiration, because when Heath passed away, I had looked at Chris to fill in the space, and my god does he ever
😂😂😂paprika is the worst level comparing to the top rated sci-fi inception and paprika inspired by the novels even so many dream novel's & mythologies lot's of books paprika mentioned it was inspired from novel but nolan's inception it's his own idea 2000 to 2010 he wrote the script
I really hope this film gets some serious Oscar recognition! Chris Nolan is a complete genius and the entire cast make this film way to good to be ignored.
I read somewhere that if they ever settle this whole James Bond issue, Christopher Nolan will be in line to direct, which could not be a better match. He really is a great film maker. The more I think about it, the more I think that Inception is a classic. He put a lot of effort into the script and, unlike Avatar's script, it shows. It really shows
Christopher Nolan has a tremendous amount of inspiration to my work, check out the trailer for my short film "Appealia" if you like Inception. The film is dedicated to Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan's movies are truly spectacular, visually striking and very well made. He's an intelligent director who makes intelligent films. The problem is that people look so much deeper into them, looking for depth where there actually isn't any, as these films in reality are just very intelligent action films and nothing more.
All those people who say Inception is a copy of Paprika Inception is a completely different movie . It's about IMPLANTING an Idea where paprika is a Chase of criminals in a Dream . You just want to Defame Hollywood and stand Different from others opinion . And Nolan Started writing Inception from 2002 and took 8 years to complete it . He copied or used some of the scenes from paprika because both films we're based on the same concept (somewhat) And I am fine with it, every director takes inspiration from someone else. That's how art works
Inception is the best film I have ever saw. It has planted a seed in my subconscious. I actually use the inception soundtrack in my dreams as ques to remind me im dreaming. I become completely lucid. I can build cathedrals and entire cities. .
did you realize you're a projection of the Ultimate True God??? if you do what do you think is the closest path? i think islam but curious to know what you think! :D
Update; I was so high when I made this comment I thought Christopher Nolan was a prophet and made up my own religion about him. I was this close to worshipping him. Just goes to show, never do drugs and watch Inception, kids!
Clemintine hahahah glad your real with yourself. And to answer your high question. Where image bearers of God, but we have the freedom of choice. You are alive, live and get to choose what you do with your life. I choose Jesus. He’s the real light in my life ! God bless you clementine!
the mans a genious 2 cracking films recently The Dark Knight was a brilliant film cuz it showed a side of batman never seen before, And Inception was so thought provoking i enjoyed ever second of it, the best film ive ever seen
Nolan is simply a genius, even if you don't like his movies there is no denying that the guy's very clever, especially when it comes to the writing. His choices of cast and crew like Hans Zimmer aren't that bad either.
