I have a few Radko ornaments. I found some at a thrift store last year for $1 each. One was listed for $100 online. I have many similar ones by different makers and many vintage ones. I decorate a my tree like this with as many ornaments l can get onto it.
You are lucky man! The prices for vintage Radko’s ornaments are very high. Especially for the earlier ones and limited edition. Around 7 years ago, I started to build my own Radko’s ornaments collection and I at present, my collection consists of approximately 1000 unique one, each one holding a special place in my heart. I have some videos on my channel showcasing a few of my Christmas trees.
@@EternalChristmas WOW! 1000? I only have about eight Radkos. The one l mentioned that l saw online still has the paper tag on it and there is a date of 2003. It is in the shape of a colonial mansion. Some are about 15 years old. I started collecting glass ornaments in the late 70s. Buying new ones that were European made in traditional shapes and colors. Some were from Sears in vintage shapes in the original boxes. I found a set of Polish ornaments from the 50s from Montgomery Ward still in the original box when l was about 12 years old. Someone just put them out on the curb for the trash pickup. I have some from the 40s as well. I love the indent ones and fruits and musical instruments. Some are in perfect shape but others show their age but l still love them. I have found many at thrift stores and consignment shops that were inexpensive. Occasionally one gets broken and it is upsetting but understandable given how fragile they are. I hope someone in the family gets them and appreciates them when l am gone.
