Christy & Vinny Reseed the Lawn

Trying to reseed and repair our yard after the failed attempt to install a geothermal system was easy by using the Ventrac 4500 AERA-vator and seeder! So easy, Christy did it. We used Barenbrug Turf Saver RTF grass seed to take care of this ugly spot in the lawn.

Love the Ventrac!! We priced the aeravator to use on our Steiner. ... luckily some of the attachments can be used on both Steiner and Ventrac, but boy it was pricy!!

RTF seed stands for "Rhizomatous Tall Fescue." It's supposed to be a fescue that will spread through the roots, like bluegrass. However, several years ago the company that made it got in trouble because it does not spread more than one plant away. The Lawn & Garden store I worked for at the time stopped selling it because of it, and why it's so hard to find. It's still a turf type fescue, so it will still make a good looking yard. It just needs to be overseeded every few years to keep it thick.

Fingers crossed it makes it through the summer, typically Fescue is planted in the fall. Wouldn't be a bad idea to apply a fungicide (propiconazole) at the two to three leaf stage of growth to prevent any issues.

Duals help with stability and floatation. They hinder with width and turning radius.

the 25hp diesel ventrac price is $20,000 for open station and $25,000 with factory cab wich isnt bad and attachments are from $1,300 to $5,000

something your wife did not say anything about what she likes about vinni is how much more stable vinni looks it would be over the other tractors i am thinking that could also help her feel better about vinni i know with my tractor feeling stable is hard when it comes to some places wish i could swing the idea of owning a ventrac diesel with pto and 3 point hitch + duels also are you thinking about getting the sickle more for your new ventrac

@@TractorTimewithTim no i did not if i did i may have missed one or forgot what was said i am in the very early stages of trying to make something like that mower that we could put on the side or rear of compact tractors for bank pond lake sides really wanting to work something out i see a chance of making some fair money with it here that is why i was also quizing them guys that did your polebarn pole upgrades i really want to find some kind of nich here but very limited on funds

The yard wouldn't look as good if that was a traditional core aerator. All those dirt plugs make a mess. Lawn customers I had didn't want on on their yards at all.

Christy may feel more comfortable on Vinnie because it has a lower center of gravity, less tippy feeling. Wide track, more flat and stable. The observations she stated are also good reasons.
