Ben, I didn't see you torque your strut bolts, did you not get longer bolts to account for the thickness of the brace? I believe it is 11ft lbs+ quarter turn for the top bolts in the F56.
Hey Rob! I had these torqued after the video as I didn’t have one handy which was a shame as it would have been helpful for the video. Thanks for including this 😁 Edit: they don’t include longer bolts as far as I’m aware. The stock bolts are more than suitable (info from Chromiumtech themselves)
Hi Ben, What's the quality like on the engine bay styling bolt set from SMPS2012? I like the look, but im a bit concerned that they are hex and not normal bolts, and therefore won't fasten as tight. I would also image that if you did tighten them too much they may easily damage being hex key?
Hey! I only ended up using them for the non-structural areas of the engine bay such as bumper mounts which don’t require as much torque under the bolt.
Hey! I absolutely love mine. I paid around £70 I think as it was from a friend, but I would definitely say it's worth the cost at RRP. Corners are now so smooth and body roll is near non-existant.
Thank you Ben, so this will be my next upgrade. Have an Cooper S and with winter tyres it´ s awful. In May I will get a JCW , but if there it still the same I will install it.
the torque for this 3 bolt m8 13 mm is 30 newton-mètre + 90 ° if you need help for the torque for blot you can find me on Instagram i follow you have a good one ✌ (i looking for buy this strut brace but is out of stock actually and the website is not secure 🙁)
