hello! as a girl with chronic illnesses too i completely understand that being creative while having all the struggles isn’t easy. i love your videos and i hope you can stay safe🩷💪🏻
hello! i wanna start of with saying that this video makes me feel seen and that you aren't alone ! as a creative with chronic illnesses too, i feel your pain. and i completely agree with the brainfog! i thought it was a residual effect from covid, but i am not too sure on that. however, i would like to add that you shouldn't put too much pressure on trying to work through your really down days! sometimes forcing yourself through it could make you burn out and lose love for your work (from personal experience) and doing things in moderation helped me the most! i do not know who said it, but i did like the percentage method where you correlate your work with how well you feel and you start to feel less bad about it ^^ it's been working so farrrr
I am so glad this made you feel seen 💛 I wasn't sure about posting this one because it was a bit out of my usual, but I am so glad someone could connect with it! and thank you :) I will try to be patient with myself but its so hard not to want to make progress at the speed I used to. Best of luck on your work :)
Keep up the great work! I understand the chronic illness part. I have lupus, arthritis, major gut issues, and eczema that gets so bad it covers my full body. I learned when I was 20 (unfortunately it took that long) that I am allergic/intolerant to a boatload of foods. When I watch what I eat, my health significantly improves. I can go to the bathroom and my intestines don’t feel like they’re on fire. My lupus butterfly rash disappears as does all my eczema. I have a lot more energy and my joints don’t hurt! I can tell pretty quickly if I ate something I’m intolerant to because I’ll have gut issues/arthritis flare ups/rashes again. 😅
I am schizoaffective with BPD, I understand when you can't do something because of an illness. It really weighs you down and makes you feel awful once you have a clear mind. I try not to let it bother me, especially with my writing - I work extra hard when I am a-okay. But as of lately, I have been exhausted from my medication not working properly, which sucks because I am in the genuine mood to write and work on my book.
thats such a good idea! I try but sometimes I get too excited to fun things when I'm feeling good. I have to remember to make time for writing when I am feeling good. :)
yep. fibromyalgia= fibro flares....fibro fog..huh?! And I work parttime ina deli- I try to read in bed with a heating pad. I always move, go for a short walk, warm bath w/epsom salt. I nknow how it feels def. gentle hugs
I like all your strategies (for lack of a better word) for getting things done even when you're not feeling great. The self-care ones especially, the full meal and shower, feel so important! I know it's better to rest when you're not well, if you can, though it always does feel good somehow to get things done anyway....
than you :) it is! yes, when I'm actually ill with a cold or something I always prioritize rest, but when its a chronic illness it just starts to feel like I should always be resting which is no fun.
