@@raniseema2003 Drink lots of water. I drink 4-6 bottles a day. I try to watch my sodium intake. No more than 2000 sodium a day. I read the labels for total carbohydrates, Sodium, and phosphate. Ask your doctor for ur aload amounts you are aload. Because each person is different. It's been helping me some. Do lots of research. I hope the info helps you.

@bethholmes888 thank you so much. I am doing all suggested and will be checking any diet restrictions with Dr this week. She has limited his water to 2l max atm but we are staying hydrated - I really appreciate you taking the time to leave some info. Thank you and best of luck to you too. 🙏🙏❤

Tofu ,mushrooms, beans, lentils, broccoli, strawberries, nuts. Add healthy fats to meals such as olive oil or avocado oil. Recommends 2'000 to 3'000 mg of potassium a day if levels are high on lab tests.

@DADVICETV
@DADVICETV 8 месяцев назад
Great news - all 3 of my books are free for those who use Amazon Select! I also am donating copies to any library that reaches out. Have your local library contact me through dadvicetv.com or they can order them through their book system. I don’t have a publisher supporting this, so I do it at my own cost. The books that do sell support donating to libraries.

James what is your take on kidney coach supplements
@DADVICETV
@DADVICETV 8 месяцев назад
Supplements are difficult. First, I find they're very expensive for what they include. I incorporate most of what Kidney Coach includes in my diet through real food - which is the best way to get what you need. Some things like CoQ10 can be hard to eat enough of, so I do take CoQ10 as a supplement (purchased through Costco). For me, my regular diet and the CoQ10 supplement I already take give me nearly everything they have in their tablets - and I'm not spending an extra $150+ a month. I would much rather spend that money on time with a renal dietitian - which I know will benefit me! As with any supplement, check with your doctor first to see what they say.

You PCP (family doc) may be able to code some visits so that it's covered by your insurance. For example, if you are overweight, there is a code that may get you a few visits. No matter how you get there, getting some visits with a dietitian can be a huge help! Best of luck!

Please come clean Hames Fabin Yes you were stage 5 because of acute worsening of creatinine levels = AKI … NOT CJD stop misleading people I heard you once admit to Dr R it was from your NSAIDs intake I’m not saying is not commendable I’m just saying that for people like a lot of us who have been enduring with CKD for 30 years ( about 6 y per stage ) cannot get out of stage 5 , even with inhumane efforts GET REAL !!!

Don’t worry Cindy, there is no way to make everyone happy and this person is most likely dealing with issues we are not aware of, and being mean to a stranger is an outlet for them. Yes I do have CKD and when I went into the ICU it was from the use of ibuprofen, all the vomiting, and other issues which compounded my CKD with an AKI (this is what I believe after all that I have learned from Dr. Ro), though all my doctors disagree with the AKI. What matters is living a heart healthy lifestyle and working with your own healthcare team to get the most out of your kidneys. Stay positive and don’t give up!

Hello Jenna, my husband has stage 5 kidney disease and we are having a hard time finding a REAL RENAL DIETICIAN IN OUR AREA. Is there a way I can contact you, even via email? There are dieticians, but from the ones I have met, I am not impressed with them. Thanks! Please let me know the best way to contact you..... 😊😊😊😊😊😊
