I have Lyme and Babesia as well, following Buhner protocols as well. Thank you for sharing AND fuck this absurd BS.

brandon75173. Lol. No kidding, huh? How are you doing? I stopped the herbs a couple of months ago. One of them ( I think Sida Acuta) was hard on my liver, but cryptolepis seemed to be okay, and over all the protocol seems effective. I started a strict Ketogenic diet about two months ago, and it hashelped a lot with body inflammation ( joint pain, stiff neck, etc) and also with mood, energy and brain fog. I’m thinking about making a video to explain that diet, for people who don’t know. Good luck, man. Hit me up to compare notes if you feel like it.

When I finally got diagnosed (a year ago) I had Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Ehrlichia. I heard that Ehrlichia and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever were the "Easiest" to treat. So far Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Babesia are gone ... ( Atovaquone killed Babesia for me) I asked my LLD why Ehrlichia is still around despite the barrage of antibiotics and she indicated that it is hiding inside biofilm. What is so insidious about this disease is the capability of these critters to adapt inside our bodies. I am thankful that there are a handful of capable doctors willing to test and treat. Have you heard about the DNA Connexions Lyme Panel test?

Hi David! Thankyou for your video and for introducing yourself to all of us in the Lymie community! My name is Michelle, and I also follow Slice of Lyme. I am so thankful for Charissa and Chad!! I've had it on my heart for some time to vlog, and just can't seem to get it together enough to do it. Not to mention, I am NOT tech savy at all, and have no idea how to begin!! I was going to mention that you should connect with Bill Thompson because you two seem to have alot in common with your journey, as well as making your own tinctures. However, I saw that he commented on your vlog! That makes me smile! Have a blessed day, and I am praying for you!
@mendomyco7392

Michelle Lindsey , thanks! I’ll definitely check out your vlog when you finally have tIme/energy for it. Yeah, bill and I have chatted a few time; networking like that is really helpful. I’m experiment now with a ketogenic diet, as most of my symptoms are neurological. It’s early to say, but my over all experience so far is that joint and general body inflammation has dramatically reduced. I’m still giving it some time before I assess my neurological symptoms, but the science indicated that it is very good for brain function, and I already see some improvement there too. All the best on your own path!

David Brothers Thanks! I'll have to send out a little message to all of my lymie friends when I finally record my first vlog. I have ALOT that I'd like to cover when I do finally get to do it. Prior to learning I have Lyme and confections, I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and years before that I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis (a painful bladder disease). Now I know that the Lyme and co's are likely the root cause of both. I have lead local support groups for both since 2009, and love to research and just share helpful information with others who are suffering with the same, or similar, things. We are all on quite a journey of twists and turns, and ups and downs, huh? But I have learned to never give up hope, and to always take things one moment at a time. I'm glad you connected with Bill! I found his vlog through Slice of Lyme. Are you still vlogging?
@MichelleLindseyVB

David Brothers I have been interested in the Ketogenic diet. My LLMD/ND suggested it to me. Currently I'm following the Wahl's Paleo. I have noticed improvement in my gut symtoms, thankfully, but not so much on the inflammation. I think I will look into the Keto. Thanks for mentioning jt!
@mendomyco7392
@mendomyco7392 6 лет назад
Michelle Lindsey , it’s pretty extreme as that is, you really have to count carbs and keep them dramatically limited, especially until your body “keto-adapts”. It helps if you have a little extra fat to burn;!i don’t, so this is an interesting experiment for me. I have Alzheimer’s in my family, and I just read a book that recommends this diet for possibly averting the disease, so it’s. Worthwhile experiment for me. I think it can be hard on the adrenals, but mine are pretty stressed already and they seem fine so far. Checking with a doctor would be a good ideA ( although I haven’t 😉). Good luck with it! There is. Good RU-vid podcast called High Intensity Health that has great info and interviews with researchers, etc.

David Brothers Thanks so much for all of the info! I'll check out that RU-vid channel. Your cat and dogs are adorable. I have a cat and two dogs too. They are wonderful, and such a comfort, especially when I'm having a tough time. I hope you've been managing well since you posted this vlog. Good luck on your journey too!

hiya im gina im in the uk. I hope your getting slowley better. In the uk theres either a big cover up over lyme and co infections or very little understanding. Asking in hospital about this even when very very very sick gets raised eye brows and at worse a court order saying your crazy. because of this attitude trying to get diagnosed and any meds is at best a joke. sadly my partner who is so unwell he can bearly get of bed , being fed with tubes to the tummy after dramatic weight loss, yet we have no where to turn. My partner also had a heart attack 37 years of age, possibly because babesia thickens the blood. Im seriously worried as i feel my whole family has lyme and possibly some co infections but my hubby has all the signs of babesia, gulping to breath or struggling bad, pain, constant nausea , feels like hes being poisoned and can hardly hold his head up. recently the hospital saw how bad he was but still released him back to my care after fitting the peg tubes but had done no real tests. hes so bloody thin and obviously ill yet hospital could not care a less. Seè he was a gardener b4 the last 6 years robbed him of his health so badly. he has such dark circles under eyes. i dont think we can even get a test here but it looks like babesia to me from the air hunger and all other symptoms fit. what herbs would get this red blood parasite out the body?.. any ideas ? ? thanks ,!
@mendomyco7392
@mendomyco7392 5 лет назад
gina2190 , CSA is an herbal combo used for Babesia. It consists of 3 herbs: Cryptolepis . Sida Acuta, and Alchornea Cordifolia. Stephen Buhner put together this protocol, and you can google it to find more detailed info online. I know there is a European strain of Babesia that is especially nasty-Babesia Divergins. A good lab for testing in the US is Igenex, in Palo Alto, California. I’ll don’t know where to go in England though... All the best to you and your partner!

I love you cute doggy and your kitty. People should be like pets they love us no matter what. I'm like a pet. People are still people I don't see any disabilities or anything different. we are always still Who We Are and we deserve friendships and love and closeness just like everyone else. I took care of people and if they were 80 years old I didn't know it. And the kid that didn't have a leg it didn't matter to me when we were having a wheelchair race. The special needs kids I had we're the best had it not been for the boy with autism I wouldn't know how to use any technology. I didn't get him for 2 hours he got me. LOL I'm a people person and I like to lift people up and notice the other things in life that matter. Like beautiful stingrays are the stars in the sky or different rocks that collect in the fossils that are in demand I wonder how old they are. How dogs take away all your loneliness when you're sad and my dog died and I don't have him anymore Jack :-( he sits by my bed now in a box of Ashes. It's the other people in the world the ones that seem to be so-called normal that I have a problem with. Their attitudes there full of pride they look down on people that are poor and they don't even care about people if they're hungry. And if you've got a disability you're basically invisible. So it's pets old people and special needs kids can people that have anything wrong that I seem to stumble upon. I could have done anything in life I wanted but I was limited because something was wrong with my brain so I found out I had a great sense of humor and after I would visit people they did much better and they look forward to seeing me and it gave my life purpose. I got a fear of people because I don't want them to go away once I'm friends with them. I feel like I'm going to be friends with you. But I feel like I scare you away. I don't bite I promise. I'm just trying to survive in New York a small town Rochester and staying in the house which I usually do anyways. Watching reruns of Andy Griffith Wagon Train Rifleman Rawhide Ponderosa Matlock and Heat of the Night I got a garden 2. I don't talk much to my family because they're just too busy. I get scared and I get lonely I wish I had a dog again. I like seeing your dog kiss you you are lucky man you've got a beautiful scenery to. If I sit outside people come to me and it makes me feel shy so I don't go out much unless someone's with me. I just think about you and I watched your videos and I really think you should talk to me. You should make a friend with someone on RU-vid. I won't bother you I just like to hear from somebody out there in the world and I picked you. If you want to be my friend? do you want to make friends? And talk about happy things and laugh? I don't mind texting I usually don't talk on the phone but I feel like I'm just going to go crazy and die of coronavirus not having any friends. Ones I'd like to be friends with. I miss my dog too :-( I bet your dog still smells like puppy. Your cat looks like onyx a beautiful stone. To wake up with all them around you must be like heaven.

I haven’t tried it. I had s reaction to Zithromax when I used it to treat Lyme, so I didn’t consider it an option . Glad it worked for you though. I’m doing well now , except for some tinnitus and buzzing in my head. keto diet really helped with overall inflammation .

Thanks for sharing. Kathleen I have almost all the same symptoms. I've been sick about 13 months and Dr.'s ran all the test and it shows I had Babesia but it's not active. So why do I still have all these symptoms? I have a few good weeks then I feel like Crap. Is this how it cycles? I'm now on Gabapentin which has helped with nerve pain.

Has anyone tried cannabis, as it is a very healing plant..? I too am struggling each day, all day long with so many horrible symptoms. Feel like i've been in Hell for almost 4 yrs. Unable to do antibiotics as they cause unbearable depression/suffering. Getting ready to try olive leaf extract.

Does anyone have a long term chronic rash that waxes and wanes, but generally slowly gets worse and worse. It starts with little lesions in a circular pattern that usually turns into a solid area of inflammation? It itches like crazy. I've had it since late 1988. If you know anything about this, please let me know. Thanks. Martha FYI: I tested + for Lyme in 1991, but have had no other testing.

How long did it take you to test positive for lyme? My husband finally got a babesia diagnosis after 2 1/2 years of being sick. Us and the doctor think he has Lyme too but it never shows up in a blood test.
@mendomyco7392
@mendomyco7392 6 лет назад
Tonya Smith , it's hard to say how long I had Lyme before I finally tested positive for it. I think I'd had it for several years, but I test over a period of about four years -- maybe three times negative before the test showed positive. I know it's possible to contract babesia without lyme; an a positive babesia test is hard to come by too. All the best to you and your husband.

I think facial numbness, large joint arthritis ( knees, shoulders) are more likely Lyme. Neck pain/tension, head pressure, brain fog, could be either
@tonyasmith1271

Thank you for the reply. He had previously been diagnosed with RA but his new doc says it's not presenting like RA due to the migrating pain and pain in tendons and muscles as well. His list of symptoms is 30+ items long. I'm anxious about the next step since I don't know how much insurance will cover.
@mendomyco7392
@mendomyco7392 6 лет назад
Tonya Smith I'm not sure what RA is. Migrating pain is definitely a telltale characteristic for Lyme. Yes, I had no luck getting long-term insurance coverage for Lyme; they did, however cover the long courses of antibiotics and anti-parasitical that the doctor prescribed, but not the doctor visits for this particular doc. I do tend toward Stephen Buhner's recommendation ( in hindsight, after 2 years of ha,meting my body with drugs); try two months of antibiotics, etc, then Switch to herbs if symptoms persist. The herbal protocol is complex and a pain in the butt to coordinate, but it can be done cheaply if you buy the bulk herbs and make your one tinctures. Hopefully the antibiotics will be enough.
@tonyasmith1271
@tonyasmith1271 6 лет назад
RA is rheumatoid arthritis. The doc he is seeing practices integrative medicine, so medication and herbal/alternative therapies.

David-can you give more info on herbs, natural treatment. I can't find a LLMD, and if I could, I can't afford them. Thanks for the video.
@mendomyco7392
@mendomyco7392 7 лет назад
marthajf73, I'll try to make another video outlining herbal treatment. Are you trying to treat Lyme or Babesiosis or both? For Lyme the main herbs are Japanese Knotweed, Cats Claw and Andrographis, although there are others. For babesia it is "CSA", a combination of three anti-malarial herbs; again though, there are other supportive herbs that go along with each protocol. You can check out Stephen Buhner's books on lyme and another on coinfections for a detailed protocol, or check out his website.

Did a year of triple antibiotics, now on herbals and supplements, have screaming ringing in my ears, hang over headache, nerve damage in foot and leg, muscle twitches, poor sleep, rapid heart beat, cramping, spleen pain since day one, like electrical shocks in the beginning, now just straight pain. Did the lions mane stop the tinnitus? Just read that would help. Fatigue, tinnitus, nerve damage and feels like brain damage are tops on my list, worse is partner is fatigued that I am sick. Thank you for the video. I will be following your progress.

Kathleen Gustafson , zinc helped with the tinnitus a lot -- 30-50mg a day with foood. Took about two weeks to make a difference. Yeah, the nerve stuff, electric shock feelings, rapid heartbeat, spleen pain-- in familiar with it all. Sorry your partner is having a hard time with it; people can't relate, especially since outwardly we appear healthy.
