Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML): Diagnosis and Therapy 

Warren, I was diagnosed recently, it is a most confusing disease. Good luck to you and me.

I was diagnosed with CMML in 2014, but have no gene mutations identified. My GP has categorized this as an MDS. I have been on Hydrea since diagnosis to keep the monocyte count in check and I have remained stable. As was mentioned, this is treating the symptoms more so than the actual disease. But I'm seeing conflicting information about having CMML with zero gene mutations. Based on latest thoughts of this would my diagnosis potentially be different? And do I need to worry about the effect of long term use of Hydrea on my organs?
