in the original SNES game the only ending I didn't get was Glenn turning human because I could never bring myself to kill Magus.

@@45johngaltNo, the PlayStation version ends with him turning back to human regardless, presumably Magus undid the curse after he and Glenn returned to their time period. And of course Glenn gets to return home and tell the king and queen that the demon lord will no longer trouble their kingdom and allow them to draw their own conclusions.

Chrono trigger was the Metal gear solid of Super nintendo. Really was crazy and ahead of its time with the story telling and gameplay. Chrono trigger best rpg!!

Frog always felt like the real leader of the group. He wielded the masamune and had the best music and back story!

I played it when I was a kid. Back in 96. My dad had a japanese nes and had games like this bought. He could read japanese so he translated it for me by voicing characters.

Look at the bright side the ds port it’s the best on added more to a already classic title and it was a bit better than the ps1 port

The story is a bit more convoluted and the "expansive" cast prevents the individual characters having as much growth (in some cases, ANY growth) as Trigger, but it very much continues the story and if you dig through the story, which is more complex than it initially appears, it's a pretty worthy sequel. It also has fantastic music (other than the "angry clown attack" that is, unfortunately, the main battle theme heard something like 60% of one's playtime...) and graphics and gameplay for that time period was mind blowing. "Dream of a Shore Bordering Another World" and "Time's Scar" are ridiculously amazing pieces of music easily on par with Chrono Trigger's main fanfare and Glenn, Ayla, and Magus' main themes. If you only beat it 4 times, you didn't see everything. There's 12 endings (13 on the DS).

@@that_dude_over_there even if it’s remade badly, won’t change the fact that the original still exists and you can always just play that. A bad remake wouldn’t ruin the original.

Not much better. It wasn't going to add more ram, or system memory. Just allow larger game file sizes, and CD audio quality. The downside would have been considerably longer loading times. For the time, the SNES was perfect as it was.
