My arrangement of Corridors of time from Chrono trigger. Known also as the Zeal theme. Tuning: Drop D with capo on 4th but leaving lowest string free. Original composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.
TheAllaksion yes, you described exactly the feeling I have with this song. it's a kind of melancholy for a time in the past that I don't even know if I ever lived. it's like something in my soul misses it.
There’s something so intrinsic about this melody which is captured perfectly on guitar. It’s breathtaking and beautiful yet laidback and relaxing. If I were to rank my favorite acoustic covers of any media this would surely be in my top 5. I’ve been listening to this for years and will likely never stop.
I remember my first time through Chrono Trigger, I deliberately didn't progress too quickly out of Zeal because I loved this song so much. I even parked my character and went afk, just to listen this song on loop.
Why no tabs? Honestly I could probably watch this video on a loop and pick it up that way... but it would take AGES to do that lol I loved this game and this theme and I want to play this! :)
is there any posibility of tutorial or, at least, an explanation for that little slap please? I just can't figure out how to do it and would really appreciate it
The wisest words I have ever said were said when I was 16 years old, when I played Chrono Trigger: "All my life I have wanted to be older and now I am convinced that I do not want to grow up, this age is perfect, I promise myself never to lose my love for video games " Today I am almost 40 years old and I thank you for reminding me of the best time of my life.
if I could play this song like this. I would go do it on a street and wait for someone to say, " OH my god! that was beautiful. did you compose that?". and I would laugh and tell them that it came from a videogame!
_"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my destiny is to die... I must simply laugh."_ *Janus "Magus" Zeal*
wow! I'm lost of words. This cover version is so awesome! It gives me goosebumps! Good job and thank you for sharing! I wish there is a repeat button on RU-vid so i can repeat it.
+Wellesly Clarke ive only just stumbled upon this superbly played version,so you might have the answer to your question already.the black thing on his guitar is called a capo and it hollds the strings down in that specific place.
Hello. I don't know where you are in life, or what you are doing right now. I just wanted to say thank you for playing and arranging these lovely covers and uploading them to RU-vid so many years ago.
amazingly performed, this song wakes up feelings inside me like no other music can do, Chrono Trigger had the best music any game ever had, eveen to this day "2019"
By tabs, do you mean basically where his finger placement was at each note so you can re-create the song? Basically, his "sheet music?" I'm not musical-savvy, so I'm asking if that's what you mean.
Laurenzo M "Tab" is a guitar term. It's a type of sheet music, typically used for stringed instruments. It resembles a table in which there are 6 rows. The number varies depending on what instrument the tabs are for, but number of rows is always equal to number on strings on the instrument the tab is for. Numbers are placed in these rows, and the number represents what fret you must place your finger on before plucking the string. These numbers are read from left to right, moving down bar by bar.
Absolutely in love with this cover. Partly because Corridor of Time is my favorite track from Chrono Trigger, partly because, since you cover it here with a single guitar live track instead of layering multiple guitars together, it's great inspiration for some D&D shenanigans involving guitars.
I've asked about tabs on here before. I come to you now just to tell you how well you did with this. This song has always resonated with me. I frequent this video. You truly did it justice. Thank you
some would not notice if not stated. ive started doing a similar version of this without a capo but at the seventh fret. (in a different key)Im not one to copy.
