I for one, love my 2010 Sebring. I've got approx 102,500 miles on it, and have only needed to replace the brakes and had new tires put on it. And with the 2.4l four cylinder engine, I get pretty good fuel mileage. How good? How about this. On our yearly trips from Ohio to Myrtle Beach, I average about 36mpg round trip. And that includes running the a/c while driving through the mountains! The best I hit on the way down was 38mpg. To each their own, but I'm keeping this car!
The Chrysler Sebring is a good car to drive. I've read and watched other reviews about it where they denounced it as a mediocre rental car. These reviewers praise the Toyota and Honda, and advocate that they are better. In some respect it's true, but not 100% true. Your review was simple, concise, and comprehensive. Now you have to review the new Chrysler 200.
I have a 2009 with close to 230,000 miles on it, (when I got it in 2010 it had 52,000 miles on it). I've taken that car on MANY trips. It's now my second car but still rollin'. A few significant repairs needed just recently, I did myself thanks to the help of RU-vid.
My 2007 4cyl Sebring has only 56k miles and here in Lithuania on the roads in the city it gets around 18mpg which isn't economical here. Although if you drive on the highway it averages about 40mpg. Thus the engine runs very smooth, has no problems, the car doesn't have any rust at all. After 12 years, the car is reliable and I love it!
Nice review. I will agree with you on a lot of your statements. I rented one traveling from Austin to Dallas and back. Comfortable seats and a smooth ride were pluses, but I noticed alot of road and wind noise at highway speeds. Enough noise to turn me off from ever considering a purchase of one.
Did he just start the engine with the key remote I .I have 2010 same color model my car I never thought I mine could start without being in the vehicle?
Have a 2007. Currently its stuck in Park while the dash thinks its in Reverse so no start. Have to haul it to Chrysler dealership who want to charge me $100 just to look at it (even though its a recall item). Not my first run in with a Chrysler product (Jeep Patriot, pos).
Everyone here must be fools. You are just buying a crappy Dodge with a nicer Badge. And who says Chrysler cars are luxury....??? What kind of crappy automaker calls themselves luxury and sells cars with WHEEL COVERS like the low end 300 and this ugly Sebring??? Lexus, Infinity and Acura have never sold a car with WHEEL covers and these 3 are way more reliable and are real mid class luxury.
***** That new Chrysler 200 is nothing but a Dodge Avenger with a Chrysler badge. And it also sucks. The low end 200 is sold with wheel covers. When have you seen a Lexus or Infinity with wheel covers?
Here's your problem, your comparing a Chrysler that costs around 24,500 or so with cars that cost 40,000+. Obviously Chrylser is cheap, they are offering luxury-like cars at more affordable prices for people who don't want to pay 40,000. We all know Chrysler is "budget," you can take a chill pill and stop complaining.
