This woman voice is just sickening. It's a wonder she didn't get more recognition back then. Her range, agility, choices, and clarity were second to NONE. During this time she was in her prime. The only person that I would have put on the same level as her is Lashun. Those runs that Chrystal does are so quick and smooth that it's easy to overlook just how hard it is to execute those runs so perfectly and she does it consistently. Not to mention those sick high notes with almost whistle like clarity. So bright open and forward with NO pushing. She was and is one of the BEST unknown gospel singers to ever live idc.
I disagree, her voice here has a stronger lower register and higher register but she’s having to be more forceful with the runs, nowadays the just naturally flow with her register she glides up and down with ease, here you see towards the end she is having to exercise her muscles to push some of the notes
@@willeatsInteresting take but at the same time she also doesn't sing as high these days as she did when she was a lot younger. Ofcourse she is still a high soprano but most of the time she doesn't sing as high or push as hard as she is here so that could be why. I still think that even if she is pushing the runs and the notes they are still coming out clearly. From the lowest to the highest note she doesn't seem to be reaching or struggling. The tone of the notes are clear as day and you can hear each note in every run no matter how fast she does them.
