I had the privilege of opening for Chuck Brown in Frederick MD at the Outreach Center in the 80s with our band, and am still humbled from the experience. He was down to earth and a true gentleman. This song exemplifies his contribution to the gogo scene and to music in general. Rest In Peace...
Some of the best shows I ever experienced in my lifetime.I was a young white guy who went to go go shows in dc back in the 90's.Yeah some times dudes acted crazy but over all it was a part of my life that influenced the way i think about people and culture.Thank you Chuck from one of those kids who you helped gain another outlook on life.
I hate that I never had the pleasure of seeing him live, since I live in Alabama. I still love his music. I did grow up listening to his music because of my uncle, who was always between here and DC. He would always listen to Chuck when he came back and that's how I was exposed to him. When my uncle passed away in 2003, all of his albums, tapes, etc., was passed on to me because of our love of music. I still have them to this day and still listen to them as much as I can, when I'm not working.
Melanie Williams that's peace and love. Play the music until you can't play it anymore keep the essence of both men vibrant and going. # sincerely your brother from Chocolate City DC 👊💪✊
This song& video, is an inspiration me. RIP, Chuck. Back in the 70's,80's to present, I always went to the shows whenever I could. Many times I can't count. Go-Go forever. God Bless!!!!

This is a wonderful song by such an inspirational and loving person, Chuck Brown. I ONLY wish he had lived to have seen the park built in his honor. I just saw him on TV One's..."Unsung" and his story really touched me. May his spirit live on in the lives of those he's touched and continuing to touch...R.I.H. Chuck Brown.

Savvynlady I got to sit next to him coming off a cruise once when I was working for an artist... he sat next to me waiting to get off the ship. I couldn't even say anything haha... it was overwhelming to know it was really him!! By the way, no entourage, no 8 person security detail, just him, quiet and humble.
Thank you Mr. Chuck Brown for such an inspirational song and message. I'm going to send this song to all my loved ones. This song did bring me to tears in a very good way, again THANK YOU.

A Beautiful Tribute And Video Very Inspiring Words From A Person That Had His Trials And Tribulations And Lived To See His Hard Work And Determination Bring Love And Accolades And Recognition. And He Lived To Say He Appreciates It And He Was Living A Beautiful Life. Until The Very End. And The Young Lady Put The Nail In The Wall With Her Respectful Rhyme. Off The Chain. Im Impressed And Emotional And Inspired That Life Can Be Beautiful And Know When To Appreciate That
Loads of respect for this man, his legacy and the community that carries it onward. On a lighter note, I think this counts as my first music video cameo. Much love to everyone living the "Beautiful Life". #passiton
Chuck Use to be with the "The James Brown Band and show" and while touring here in DC he announced his retirement and his intentions of starting something here with the talent here in DC. Thus the birth of "Go-Go"-----------PS word on your pc
