I grew up with these shows. They all had morals. They made us feel good inside and made us all want to be better, kinder people. Girls were ladies and men treated us all like princesses.
Beautiful! Speaks of the kind of relationship Johnny had with Chuck. Chuck considered him his surrogate son and treated him as if he were one of his own. Johnny has said this many times! The Rifleman was a true love story between a Father and Son. And that definitely came across on screen!
"What can one say, that's not enough to know such an actor as Johnny Crawford?" He is truly one of the "Good Guys", and as a man, I'm happy to say, I love him for the person he is, and the parts he played, may God Bless him always.
On The Rifleman, the relationship between Lucas and his son Marc, made the show the wonderful, heart-warming success that it was. Still watch the reruns to this day.
NJ Guy2 you just don’t see love I. Family like there was in the rifleman. I’m only 30 but have been gifted the chance to watch the rifleman and the other fantastic shows from that time.
Loved the Rifleman and miss the good quality shows like this. Thank goodness, we can still watch them today! Wonder if Chuck ever thought about how much people would love that show long after he was gone? How I wish we could go back to those times in America and the programming that made up parts of our lives.
Beautiful...music and photos are great together. Hollywood so seldom knows WHY people love a show or movie...they get it wrong over and over. Lorne Greene said he wanted to leave Bonanza after a few years, but got so much mail from men saying "Thank you for helping me be a better father." he stayed with it. No doubt this is true of Rifleman...
Loved this show and still watch it Monday through Friday on reruns. The relationship between Chuck and Johnny on screen was amazing, and I believe that's what made it so successful that they truly cared about each other. RIP Chuck
I loved it when Mark and Lucas had been parted and they would run to each other. And weren't afraid to kiss each other as a father and son. So special.
The rifleman was and still is a wonderful ...johnny u have brought so much happiness to people....please anyone and everyone who can contribute to johnny open your heart and wallet to help wonderful johnny crawford...ur loved johnny...
I love this show the rifleman so much I’m still watching episodes over and over if only every man can watch this show they will be better fathers for doing so
Squee Dow..you are so right ..shows like this is really missed on tv..we see sleaze and all kinds of junk..and i say "wow..they are showing that on tv?" I even be cautious when i turn my tv and scroll the channels. I know that time have changed but some things are a bit too much.

Nothing but trash from Hollywood now days. This show was great back when there were actual people with morals and respect. People who were positive roll models. Now its just a dump.

Just like so many people in the news and entertainment media, you demonstrate a lack of civility. Speaking of mommy and daddy, my parents taught me civility. CIVILITY defined: "Civilized conduct (especially: courtesy or politeness) or a polite act or expression." They'd be very disappointed in a son who uses foul language and name-calling against strangers.
