Chuck E. Cheese Company: gets rid of many fully functional animatronics because “kids don’t watch them anymore.” Also Chuck E. Cheese Company: doesn’t change their pizza which most people agree isn’t good
They actually did change the recipe back in 2014. While I do miss the old recipe, I do agree that it needed to change because it was hard to get correct before.

Aww. They just looked so sad at the very end. Before the song, they all looked at each other and said, "This is it." Ive never been to this location, but its just sad to see a perfect stage go.

Their lighting is so bad! Back in the day, when Chuck E. Cheese was in their prime, their lighting was a lot darker and warmer, with a nice cozy feel. Ever since they changed to LED lighting, it looks like a cold cafeteria in there. Lighting is very important. Look how sad this stage lighting looks compared to the 90's.. You can find many vintage Chuck E Cheese. videos on RU-vid and compare. Does anyone else agree? I'm not sure about what they did to their games.. All I know is, I entered a Chuck E Cheese recently, and this was my first observation.
There's just something charming about old school animatronics. Yes, they look disturbingly awkward and have very rigid movements, but I love them. Very retro, very cool. So sad to see them slowly dying out... :(
Normani Fan 76 there is a museum that has ALL these animatronics they have one set of all the originals and of all the guest animatronics all displayed on stands on a wall in good condition still
Fun Fact: When the place was changing out of Pizza Time Theatre they re used the old animatronics from when the first opened in 1981. Evidence of this is how in the Pizza Time Theatre, the stage would cut of the bottom portion of the animatronic. When it was being turned into the at the time modern chuck e cheese they didnt have the money to put electronics in the bottom portion of the animatronic so what they did was make the bottom portion of the animatronic completely still like a statue. With this you could also tell kind of how the old stage was.
This particular location did utilize the old PTT mechs from the early 80s era. But CEC locations that opened from 1990-1997 had entirely new Cyberamic mechs built by Animation World in Florida.
One way to tell if your local had a "PTT" mech, is to look at the hand movements. The left hand (The one without the microphone, AKA your right), should move out as the body turns right (your left) and when it centers. If it moves independently, then it's a newer cyber. Older ones moved with the body.
Now, I may be completely off, and I am NOT confirming ANYTHING. It's just a theory. This stage MAY be going to the new store opening in Summer 2017. It could just be for parts, but don't quote me on any of that.
The Chuckster CEC Is the new store open now? If so, is it a 1-Stage? 😮 Well actually it probably didn't go to that CEC because as far as I know when they build a new store it's a Phase 5 store (CoL with no bot). 😕 But judging on the new design they're planning to replace the bots with they'll have the dance floors and stuff for Chuck E. Live or whatever. 😒
This poor girl at 9:23 doesn’t even know that this is the last performance the animatronics will ever put before they get dismantled and destroyed for good😢 It’s so heartbreaking to see so many Chuck E. Cheese’s locations getting rid of their animatronic bands, like these things were part of my childhood! Sure they look a bit creepy but I used to love seeing them performing songs from the TV’s. RIP all the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics from so many locations that are getting destroyed and dismantled.😭
It was so empty, wow this was sad. I used to love this as a kid. I’m 30 now and I’ve watched the animatronics deteriorate and eventually get removed over the years. I personally noticed the removal when I was younger and I’m still not happy about this. These filmed here were in great condition. 35 years and still look fairly pristine.
There’s a lot of things that bother me as I get older, like my childhood stuff being remodeled or forgotten, but Chuck E Cheese was the only thing that really got under my skin. These guys were the foundation of my scarred childhood. Cheers to you guys
Well the band will take their final bow and become extinct with the rest of the old guest stars. Plus the reason why it shut down the band due to the fact of kids like me or in my age or down. They said "the kids stop looking at the band" so that means why they are gonna be taken away. For that they are gonna make a brand new stage to dance to their music in a memory of Munch's Make Believe Band. It's like in the end they are saying "well band...I guess it's time to say good bye to our awesome friends that watch us since the beginning". Then the video ends with a song like about memory from the band. Well Rest In Peace Chuck e Cheese (Or R.I.P). Chuck e Cheese will not be the same without them. "Goodbye" in the end I think they say and their awesome show ends. Well guys I guess sometimes bad thing happened and you have to accept it. 👏🏽🐭 (P.S I hope soon they will come back to us and their show will live on forever) (:
They aren’t extinct. They’re still in the Chuck E Cheese I stay by. I remember back in the early 2000s I would watch their shows. The lights would go out. They would sing and the moon behind the buildings would come out. They still have these animatronics, but I just don’t go to Chuck E Cheese anymore considering the fact that I’m 15 and nobody wants to have a birthday party there anymore 😂

The animatronics are 90’s ones I think,I guess they never had a chance to put modern ones in,maybe because it was gonna close.RIP Chuck E Cheese in Maryland
They are actually the Showbiz Pizza Rock-afire Explosion band Animatronics retrofitted to become "Munches Make Believe Band." That retrofitting would have happpened in the early 90s, but the tech underneath them would have been from the 80s.
I’m not a big Chuckie Cheese Fan, I’ve never even been there! But, I would really like to see these animatronics redesigned and remade to replace the older ones, while using the parts of the originals. It seems like a huge waste to get rid of all of them. I know Chuckie will stay, considering he’s the face of the franchise, but every other character should get the same treatment and be remade and redesigned to fit this generation. I heard that a CEO said that the animatronics in the band have been ignored by kids and labeled as the “side show.” They could easily fix that! The Chicken/Duck character (I believe her name is Henrietta or some among those lines) seems like a powerful female role model, especially with her “Dream Big” song. I hope they’ll give the others a chance, they seem like really awesome characters. Bringing back the Guest Star characters would be good as well, I really like the cowgirl Coyote.
I don't think they can keep using the same parts, the animatronics were made by Creative Engineering and then when they cut ties with then showbiz, showbiz changed to CEC. Basically they can't use all original parts

Mine here in Phoenix has ones that look like this. They aren’t as bunched up though. Another post here said these were older but updated animatronics. At my place they fully move. The only issue is one of the chicken lady’s wings is droopy.
Holy hell, this was actually my childhood Chuck E. Cheese that my grand mom would take me to every now and then. Those animatronics always made me unsettled but I do miss them
I went to Chuck E. Cheese quite commonly when I was a kid and if I wasn’t eating pizza or playing games, I was rocking along with my favorite animatronic band. It makes me cry to see they aren’t there anymore. Jasper was always my favorite.
It's strange how much character the animatronics have for example when Jasper and Munch are making up songs Chucky just shakes his head in disappointment and when Helen is singing her dream song Chucky just nods his head and moves his arms like if he's dancing, Jasper Munch and Pete are playing the instruments along with the beat. Pretty cool for a last preformance. Also Chucky is being so grumpy in his last moments on stage
Yeah. It was sad they closed, My first time there was June 2013 after nearly 10 years of not seeing a 2-Stage because my local store got Studio C. I was so happy at the rare artifacts. ; ( My last time there was (believe or not) a month before this was taken. Gonna upload a memorial video & Nothing Like A Walk soon. As a kid I would’ve been confused with the animatronics and a TV talking at the same time. I grew up with the 90s Chuck E. Cheese and we didn’t have that.
It's been ages since I've been to chuck E. cheese ....and seeing the animantronics in good shape, it makes me want to go for old times sake and see em one last time if they ever got rid of them, I'm 24 and I haven't been there since I was a very little...so, I wonder what has changed and what is still the same. They have great songs!
I remember the 1990s, when in elementary school, there was a Chick E Cheese near where I lived and everyone went to it. Thank you for the good childhood memories.
I’m so sad to find out that Chuck E. Cheese has not only closed my local location I grew up going to, but they got rid of the animatronics / are still in the process of getting rid of them. Literally my favorite part of Cec was the animatronics concert and when the characters would come out in costume. My favorite era was the late 90’s early 2000’s Chuck E.
The Chuck E Cheese’s near me that I went to as a kid had a curtain that automatically opened and closed (one around Chuck E, one around the band, so Chuck E could go walking during some numbers). It made it so you didn’t see the animatronics just go still at the end of songs. Also, I don’t remember these songs being this good. Like I wouldn’t put them on just to listen, but I wouldn’t mind being in the restaurant for a while just listening to the band.
a similar thing happened at Peoria, IL's 3-Stage; whenever before walkaround Chuck would come and say hi to the kids, stage left (?) would shut its curtains (this particular location was the only 3-Stage in Illinois to have curtains and a working Building and Moon; I can only assume Munch Jr. and Pizzacam were taken out before I was born) so as not to give the illusion of 2 Chucks; it was pretty cool fer the time being, Icl
I always didn’t like the animatronics when I was a kid, but it’s kinda sad to see them go this fast. At my location they are still there but I’m pretty sure that they are going to go soon. Kinda sad to think all these memories are gone with these really cool creations.
its amazing what re-skinning the rockafire explosion can do. we got Rolf as Chuck e cheese, mitzi as helen, fatz is mr munch, beachbear is jasper, and dook is pasqually.
I feel bad for the Chuck.E Animatronic because his eyes wouldn't even open.. RIP Maryland location 1983-2016 forever this location is in the hearts of all of us CEC Lovers. Thanks MaryLand for a great time with this location. You will be missed. 🙁😢 (Never been to this CEC location before)
when fnaf was big the animatronics started getting demonized, especially chuck e cheese. they were used for clickbait too. the only problem is that the animatronics in five nights don't have a personality, and chuck e cheese animatronics do. they shouldn't be creepy, and there was even kids on this video who stayed to watch for a while. but because of fnaf, i don't think animatronics can come back from the reputation they got. there's even a bunch of people who think the clickbait "children found at chuck e cheese stuffed in animatronic suits" was/is real especially on tiktok. i don't blame scott cawthon for it i don't think he intended to make animatronics seem bad and it was probably a creative directory thing, a lot of people had animatronic restaurants in their childhood so it would be more personal. but they still became "scary" in the eyes of everyone

I miss seeing those animatronics I’ve been to Chuck E. Cheese a couple of times where they had the animatronics there so it’s pretty sad to see them go it was really fun to always see a performance by them, I’ll always miss that.
There isn’t any Chuck’e Cheese Pizza’s in the Uk, It looked like a fun time. But I’m glad that no more clickbaiters are using chuck’e cheese for views anymore.

I love these guys so much, I have never been to chucky cheese or any place with animatronics, but god I wish I could have. Maybe someday they'll go back into style! I can only hope.
It’s amazing seeing my childhood/obsession get discovered by a new generation. Seeing them in their prime in the 90s was a sight to see in person first creepy, then intriguing.
I miss this i use to wach them move as a kid the eyes the arms the mouths. It was so majestic the memorys makes me want to open up a place with anamatronics
People are saying that I suck because I like fnaf, but that's not true! I like Chuck E. Cheese too!!! I think it's sad that this show had to go, but at least we're getting showbiz back! I mean, this show was in very god condition!
