Chuck E Cheese Removed Him But The King Is Back! Travis from iwonder TV went to meet the chuck e cheese robots The Kings and their creator Jared. Chuck E. Cheese's pizza time theatre featured a full band of animatronic animals. The King was collateral damage in the great pizza wars of the 1980s, ending with Chuck E. Cheese's bankruptcy and takeover by corporate arch enemy, showbiz pizza place. Shortly before the company failed, a few Kings were converted to King Kats, Michael Jackson impersonators meant to keep up with the times. Most of the chuck e cheese animatronics including the king where tossed out, destroyed or auctioned off as stores closed or were remodeled under showbiz pizza place new vision. These abandoned animatronics where rediscovered by Jared Sanchez 23 years later and they are not fnaf. He took these abandoned animatronics kings and reinvented The King into a youtube show where he makes up parody songs with the kings. Chuck e cheese the king

I miss the King so much, and was a shame he didn't last long. The Chuck E Cheese by where I used to live in Johnson City, NY, near my 80's/childhood hometown of Binghamton had him for the first couple years or so they were open. They then replaced him with the Beagles a few years later, who were good in their own right, but are also sadly long gone now as well. That Chuck E Cheese itself has also been closed down for over two decades, and eventually relocated to nearby Vestal, but isn't nearly as great though. There are a couple C.E.C. locations not too far from where I am in South Jersey, in both Brick, and Mays Landing, NJ, now, but aren't really anything special like the good old ones were back in the day either.

I still recall 'The King' room at my 80's Chuck E. Cheese (long gone), You had the main dinning hall, then a short hallway that led to the arcade. Off to the side of the hall was this somewhat small room (that maybe had one or two people in it at any given time) that had this towering guy in it. I never went in there (it was scarcely lit, kind of frightening for a kid honestly) but I was always fascinated seeing this guy move. I was like: 'WOW, he has LEGS!', as the Chuck E. Cheese were just half-bodies in their balcony... I want to say with the upmost respect and appreciation how grateful I am to have folks who have these and take such good care of them...seeing pictures of the degrading/discarded animatronics I sometimes stumble upon always breaks my heart. I will own one such animatronic one of these days, mark my words, but in the meantime I feel fortunate to get to enjoy them this way still.

I am just in aw at how smoothly they move for them being mid-80's Non-Disney Animatronics. It makes me really happy that you are taking very good care of the King Animatronic that I used to adore as a child. Recently I have been seriously trying to find videos and images of that particular location. It was a huge place to my recall, The King having his own private dining room off to the side near the Arcades. We would always be placed in the main dining area because our groups would be quite large, you know the occasional Girl Scout gathering, even the local paper i worked at would take trips to Chuck E. Cheese for all the kids that used to deliver papers. I remember the King's dining area, the big arcade with all kinds of 80's classics, and the main stage for Chuck E.Cheese and his band that had a Swiss Cheese painted stage with a small tunnel in one of the holes for the kids to crawl in. Just knowing you have "my" king there just brings floods of nostalgia.

This is so awesome! I looked this up because I remember loving the king's shows the most when I had birthday parties at chucky cheese in the 80s. He was upstairs with the arcade games while the rest of the animatronics were down stairs with the little kid games. I'm glad you got these. 👍

Dude I have remembered this lion for decades, im 40 now, but ppl never remember him (I guess he was gone by the time I was 7) and insist I'm remembering wrong. I figured maybe we had went to a knock off resteraunt but I remembered the whole band being there. Im so happy I saw this lol, IM NOT CRAZY!
