I was born in 1988 so I missed seeing those animatronics, when the place used to be called “Pizza Time Theater,” and the Rockafire Explosion Band. 😭😭😭 I did get to see Munch’s Make Believe Band though and that band in the 90s was awesome! I miss those days of watching the band while I ate pizza. Chuck E Cheese used to be great back then and I remember the prizes being great too. Todays Chuck E Cheese sucks and the band is being removed from all locations & going to be replaced with a light up dance floor.

Chuck E. Cheese's used to rule when I was a kid. The first one opened up in my neighborhood back in 1982. Chuck E. Cheese's was already a shithole in 1987. They tore down the inside walls, got rid of almost all the video games and replaced them with kiddie rides that would have appealed to toddlers at most. I've never been there since.

Usually whenever a show starts all the lights turn off in the showroom and theres tons of lights focusing on the characters therefore giving them attention. If only this were still here today...

I remember Dolly Dimples, but at the time I didn't remember her name...I was 5 then, lol. I do remember King becoming King Cat, a Michael Jackson-lookalike. The CEC that used to be in my area had two floors; the main floor had CEC and the gang, and the upper floor were Dolly and King Cat

My dad used to go to a place like this, it was called Showbiz and it was exactly like this. He told me they would dim the lights and they actually had a bear perform on stage with his other pals. They don’t make entertainment like this no more.

Chuck E. Cheese's is so different now, I wouldn't have even expected them to be like they when they first started out. It actually used to be so much better. They seemed to have put in a lot more effort into providing good entertainment and making it fun for the kids. See, the Chuck E. Cheese's place that I have in my town only has one animatronic, Chuck E. Cheese obviously, and he only talk sometimes while they play videos with non-original songs. Speaking of unoriginal, THEY USED TO HAVE ORIGINAL SONGS??? WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT??? Like seriously, what made them think getting rid of those along with the other characters would be good for business? I like the theme they have in the older Chuck E. Cheese's too. Today, the theme is totally different than it was before, I don't know what they call it but I think it has a great atmosphere. The games and rides also seemed more fun. Chuck E. Cheese's now mostly has video games we could just play at home, the only things that are actually worth going for is the physical games. And finally the establishments seemed a whole lot bigger in size, it actually had enough room for a LOT of people to still freely roam around. It's kinda sad to see what Chuck E. Cheese's turned into, that's why it's not as popular as it used to be.

This looks really weird to me, because I went to my childhood Chuck E. Cheese restaurant sometime between 1999 and 2003. That, or whenever Chuck E. himself wore a tuxedo.

it has changed since then and not for the better. did you see how the kids behaved? they are not like that now. did you notice that helen was not in that group? i heard that there were many players at chuck e cheese before they called it chuck e cheese. i don't know their names but i do know they are not around anymore. i heard there is a anamatronic museum maybe thay are there.
