I was at Chuck E. Cheese (Bridgeville PA location) later that year November of 1990 for my 3rd birthday! 🎂🎁🎈🎉 I still have the home video my dad taped back then. 😁 This video brings back alot of good memories! 🎂🍕🎵🎶🎵
@@chuckecheeseshows I'll think about uploading it. I don't think any of my relatives would mind. Some have passed away & some I haven't spoke with or seen in 20 year's. I have to look for the tape if I find it. I'll watch it first then decide whether or not to upload lol~
I grew up with that location in the 2000s (although my parents weren't big fans, it was basically a once a year thing when report cards came out, going at open so it would be empty and I was restricted to games like Skee Ball that weren't computer games, looking back the reasoning was justified. I was never into the animatronics as a kid so I don't remember anything about their set up, I'm into animatronics now because of the fake 5 missing kids story). I would like to see it uploaded, would bring back memories. Could you tell me if it's still open or if Apollo closed it in the bankrupsy caused by them giving it the Toys R Us treatment, and what the present day setup is by chance? The next time I'm in that area I will be heading there, mostly to film the abandoned K-Mart but if they have a full animatronic setup I may need to go in (I'd probably play a few rounds of skee ball to give them something since I can't eat Chuck E Cheese food being a health junkie).
Actually, come to think of it they actually moved to a newer building in the same plaza in the mod 2000s, the location you would have went to in the 90s has been a Pet Smart since the move I believe.
I consider this tape to be a "transitional" tape. In the CyberStar visuals, the old Chuck E. walkaround was still being used, while everyone else had their new Concept Unification walkarounds, Scott Wilson switched Munch's voice from the Cookie Monster-inspired voice he'd been using since 1978 to the Fatz-inspired voice, and the artwork used for Munch shows his ultimately-unused collar.
@@Planet_ten The poster knows this. The poster was making a comment about the 'show tape' and the 1990 period it was made (the show music program/skit itself, not the animatronics)
Even though I never saw the animatronics performing directly (my family didn't eat in the party room), I did catch sight of them at times when I was a kid. Back then, I just thought they were adults dressed up in freaky looking costumes who danced on stage. Oh, such sweet naivety. Any other child would've thought they were real.
These things are horribly unsettling, though the singing is surprisingly good. I remember seeing these shows at my local CEC as a kid, the overwhelmingly delicious aroma of pizza hanging thick in the air, but they still creeped me tf out. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and seeing all of them surrounding the bottom of your bed, just staring at you. It's really cool though that this gentleman managed to acquire these and restored them.
