Awesome Chuck. Thank you so much for this. I studied with the Grey 1:19 Nuns in Montreal for eight years of my training. Very much along these lines - Czerny, Hannon and so on. Thanks for validating their methods for Rock

Yeah, Chuck is incredibly disciplined, that's what it takes to be a free-wheeling player. When Chuck is preparing for a tour he is up at 6AM everyday and runs through the first 20 Hanon exercises in EVERY key. That really is incredible!

At 1:04 he says, "I can't really read music." What? Somebody who can play like that and can't read music? How did he get to be so damn good? Unbelievable.

I know, had the same reaction. This guy is one of the top players in the world (Allman bros, Stones, Raitt, etc.) and yet he can't read? Gives me hope because I can barely read, yet write tunes and play all kinds of stuff by ear. Nice to know.
