One of the finest guitarists and kindest human beings ever .... You are missed my friend...I will always remember our conversation about tone and pickups, amps and chordal structure and your approach.
A great musician! Nowadays I listen his songs. As I can see he plays clean chords perfectly. Melodically sounds good to me. The world is a bit smaller without him.
This is the difference from when someone comes into a Guitar Center and tries to play a guitar and a world class musician coming into Sadowsky to play a guitar.
I am surprised by this video - I have a 1966 Fender Telecaster and occasionally use it for Jazz. I only use the original neck “lipstick” pickup as that is where the 'thin' sounds comes from, rather like a P90. The neck humbucker on this guitar loses the wonderful ‘chime’ that the old Telecaster lipsticks give certain Jazz pieces. I would have loved to have heard Chuck play this piece on my Tele.
