This was my fathers favorite musician. In November of 2016 his aneurism burst and he was slowly dying and very uncomfortable. I put this on and layed my phone next to his ear. He looked at and smiled and passed away peacefully

I want to do a study and measure dopamine levels in people when this song is played. The second it comes on, my eyes start swelling up with happy tears, my skin gets goosebumps, and then when the rest of the band starts coming in, I get super excited and start "air playing" all the instruments in the car. It makes me want to pull over and start dancing in the streets. Fantastic song.

When this album came out, our neighborhood postman gifted it to my Mom. I fell in love with it so much, I chose to learn how to play brass, starting with trumpet. I parlayed that into joining a Drum & Bugle Corps, meeting lifelong friends along the way. This song is a gift. Thank you, Chuck Mangione, for this masterpiece.

Chuck Mangione had always being one of my favorite performers from my youth, so it is not surprising that when he came to a High School near woodbine, MD where my family lived, that I would want to sit as close as I possibly could to the stage where he played his hit songs. I was probably 23 years old but for that one night, I was a teenager again. He made his way through the back of the auditorium and toward the main stage while playing :Feel so good" and let me tell you, as he walked by me, I was filled with joy, I jumped off my seat, I applauded and shout with glee, I can truly say that everytime I hear this song, I remember that night, when nothing mattered except that two hours later, it was over. Thank you Chuck Mangione, thank you to the people who gave us tickets to that concert, too, you made a difference that night.

When it comes to music we all have preferences. I didn't care for music education until I hit the 5th grade and I just had to have a bugle because my friend did. I loved playing it even though it took a month to learn how to blow it correctly. I had no lessons. After the month I realized that playing a musical instrument was not easy. So I decided to play a trumpet but I had no money. My teacher recommended I try a mellophone rental. This horn was similar to a trumpet but only with the fingerings. I played 16 hours a day on weekends. The more I played the more I wanted to play as I got better and better. Summing up I graduated to the trumpet when I was 14 and never looked back. As the music became more difficult I tried even harder to the point that my diaphragm became paralyzed and I could not breathe for about a minute...the scariest minute of my life. Later when I went to high school I was so far into it that we played at the worlds fair in NYC 2 years in a row and also played with a professional band in Pennsylvania. My playing ceased in my second year of college when I told my bandleader I had to quit because I played harder stuff in 5th grade. I wished I had kept playing but I needed to steer for a career in medicine. But it was a lot fun back then. It wasn't an easy journey and I would do it all over again. Hey guys, it isn't as easy as it looks.

There's no place for me to hide The thoughts of all the time I cried And felt this pain That I have known Because I needed just to hear That special something And then one day You just appear You said "hello" "Let's make love along the way" Your name is music to my heart I'll always really love you Feel so good when I'm with you I can't believe you love me too With you it feels like it should feel With you it feels so good Songwriters: Chuck Mangione.

Heard his phrasings and melodies in the stores when I was probably 6. Hooked me and drew me in. His band mates are no slouches either

Bizarre that I remember SOME of the lyrics after all these years. Our HS band director turned us onto Chuck a year before FSG came out. We played Main Squeeze in jazz ensemble and thought we were the coolest thing in the world. And maybe we were.

I really really love this piece of music. A delight from my formative years. I too never heard lyrics with it, and Rob Mathis did a phenomenal job with the vocals !!!! WOW this is by far my favorite rendition of Chuck's best number!!!!
