I am going to try going back to playing my side stick like you, at 11 o'clock, in stead of 7. Like you, I lead with my left on the ride and hat, but keep things set up so close that there's no room to play side stick like you without getting caught in the tiny gap between ride, hat and first tom. But, i want to see now if it's easier. You certainly make it look so! By the way, this track by Chuck is one of my childhood favorites. I got to surprise my dad by taking him to see Chuck in the early 2000s. He was his hero. Cheers!
Chuck is still alive - unless by "up there" you meant Rochester, NY which of course is up there, unless you are in Canada. Chris Vadala the flute and sax player could be the real up there smiling as he passed a few years ago
This is what perfection looks and sounds like! You really got in those drums a$$! You dug in there man, and I appreciate the excellent job you done! It is relaxing watching and hearing you play!
I have thought about playing this for years, but without using your left hand on the hi-hat and ride bell, it's impossible to play. Great job and you have a nice light touch on the drums and cymbals, and your drums are tune perfectly for the song. Awesome cover and very inspiring!
Also, just watched a similar type of Utube deal for Easy Lover. The guy was great. But Kevin...Dude, you are smokin' it!!! Theres a fill you do near the end that I would love to figure out what you're doing. I'll go back to it and give the timestamp. Love your stuff brother. Patrick
¡¡Amazing job!! Musical, and great vocabulary, great job in cymbals too. And drums with a correct note. Music, misic, and more great music. Thanks for make this video.
Yo Kevin, I played a gig with Speigts, Delany, B Moran and Chuck was there and played with us. The funny part is we only knew Feel So good.... the people went nutz! Soooooo....we played it...two more times (with deeply reaching solos)
Wow. Amazing. I saw Chuck Mangione and his band play this song live and I have always enjoyed the drum part (the guitar and sax parts of this song ain't too shabby either - what an amazing song overall - such terrific musicianship!). The drum part of this song may not have the most pyrotechnics, but nonetheless this drum cover is both fun to listen to and to watch. GREAT JOB/NICELY DONE!!!!
I knew from the opening fill; the tuning of the toms and general EQ-ing of the kit (during the guitar pedaling the intro at the top) that this was going to be great. Really nice work all around, sir.
BRAVO!!! Standing ovation bro!!. Impeccable timing It's confusing at times to see LH on the HH.. lol.. but really a great job... congrats! Two sticks up!!
