Chuck Mangione - Hide & seek (Ready or not here I come) 

Years ago I taught this piece to a high school jazz/stage band. No music on paper. Showed them how the rhythm from the intro was the basis for the entire melodic line, one layer at a time. The guitar solo was played by the first trombonist, and the kid absolutely killed it. One of my proudest moments as a HS band director in training. Was my senior thesis for music education classes.

Charles Meeks deserves some love here. That bass line is so tight and groovy

Great song...it was also used as the theme to Connecticut High School Bowl on WTNH from 1984-91, which is where I first remember having heard it as a kid.

This track is absolutely insane!!!! So, so, so lucky to have the entire "Feels So Good" record. It's a thing of beauty.

I know that WCVB promoted Miller’s Court using this song. The show was syndicated in the 1980’s, and I know that WNEW (now WNEW) also aired the show.
