Downhome Newfoundland music by Chuck Simms and Wince Saunders (A Piece of the Rock is the duo's new name). Enjoy a tune from the Oct. 21st celidh at Heck's Harbour, PEI.
This is great, love those family music times, we had many at our home in Louisbourg, good times always. This older gentleman is one hell of an accordion player, he gets all those little notes in between, great playing guys.
This was written in 1935 by Harry Warren and Al Dubin for Dick Powell to sing in a movie called "Broadway Gondolier." They changed several lines of the original lyric here, but still a very nice performance.
