I always believed that Diaby was the best midfielder I ever saw play in the Premier league. He was unstoppable when he was fit, impossible to take the ball off him and he scored quality goals. No midfielder was ever as dominant and can completely take control of a game.

Diaby was thought by many including Wenger to be better than even Patrick Viera. I have been watching every Arsenal game since 1997. The most deadly midfield combo for Arsenal since Viera, Pires, Petit and Llunberg is Fabregas, Diaby, Rosicky and Hleb. Their midfield dominance was only bettered by Barcelona. Arsenal played the slickest possession football in the Premier league. Just ask Tottenham, liverpool, and even Man city. That same season Arsenal.came second behind Man utd. DIABY WAS UNSTOPPABLE. Only injuries could stop him. There's reason why Wenger held on to those core midfield players for that long. Toure came long after.

Dercudez arsenal didn’t win the league because they had too many bottle jobs. Alexis Sanchez worked his ass off and took games by the scruff of the neck. There was no one else at the club contributing anywhere near the numbers he was so yes he carries us for 2/3 years.
