I think you have a good point about digging deeper with each other. Being willing to get in the dirt with our brothers and sisters, genuinely wanting to learn about/from each other and our reality/current wolrdview/pain/trauma. And, building relationships that embrace ALL of us (mess, beauty, pain, dreams, everything), and relationships that are built for a marathon! Not a sprint. I am reminded of the saying, 'It's about the journey, not the destination'. Christ is interested in our journey / relationship with Him. He KNOWS we can't get from A-Z in a day. In the end, WE are the reward that Christ came for. Not what we do right/how fast we grow. Having people around us who aren't rushing us to the finish line, but sitting with us in the dirt... THAT opens up the doors to healing and a deeper understanding of His love for us. How beautiful is He.
I know what you mean about kids worship songs! I'm listening to all the Psalty Kids Praise albums at the moment. Loving the simplicity of the gospel and the joy that comes through.
