Dude I love how your channel has grown over time! I have been here since your channel had under 2k subs. I appreciate the daily uploads of pain paired with classical music. Keep it up!
churchill is a tank where often enemy can't do shit about you, but the joy is often short-lived since you realise that you also can't do shit about the enemy and so contest of "who will destroy enemy gun first" begins
British main here. I don’t have bushes and I play this thing a bunch; it’s *really good* so long as you have the situational awareness to not get shot in the side.
How would you face an IS-2 in a Churchill. The highest churchill is 4.7 and the lowest IS-2 is 6.0. If you're bringing the Churchill to 5.0 that's a skill issue because the 4.7 lineup is still good in an uptier.
I have experienced this as well with the Churchill. It's such a shame to encounter a panther and not be able to penetrate any scrap of his frontal armor!
1:35 there’s currently a bug literally nothing ricochets. you can test it out, but there’s some incredibly weird angles you can pen. for now until it’s fixed, it only has to have enough pen to go through, ignoring ricochet chance.
I do not believe you, because my 13mm of metal on the PT-76-B bounced a fucking Tiger E *twice in a goddamn row* yesterday. it legitimately stunlocked me; I spent like 20 mins after the match trying to figure out how I lived
Well, they can't front pen you, only with apcr. While you can front pen the KV-85 and the T-34-85 at the turret cheeks, but it can be tricky due to volumetric.
Angling is your best friend in a Churchill. They can’t pen an angled Churchill VII with anything. Just keep your turret facing away until it’s time to fire and you’ll be fine.
The British 75mm rounds need a penetration buff or APHE rounds. I am aware that the British emptied American APHE shells of their filler and filled the cavity with iron or concrete, but that should be modeled in game instead of simply being a worse 75. If the Russian shells are anything to go by, these rounds probably won’t have that much more penetration that the APHE shells, but more pen is never a bad thing.
which is weird considering Britain had mostly solid shot guns, some considered the best AT guns in the war, then exported them around the world because they were the best, then everyone else switched over to using only solid ammo... HMMMMM wonder if it's supposed to actually be good?
@@MsArchitectschannel well it's Gaijin magic that made APHE do HE damage and spall in a sphere AoE when it's barely better than solid shot irl, arguably worse in some cases.
I dont know if anyone has mentioned but ever since i and maybe others recommended you started making a bit longer videos, it has been well worth it. I still love to watch you play rather than to deal with warthunder and play it myself. :) Keep up the good work
It could be fun if every game wasnt 5.7, but since 99/100 games are at 5.7 and you just get clapped by Panthers from 2km while your poop AP barely does any damage to anything its pure suffering
The ZiS 30 shot reminds me of a lot of bullshit deaths of mine that keep happening even today. Super steep angle? Penn directly to ammo dead. Hit the barrel? Go straight through the turret face through the thickest part like it's not even there. Oh and my personal favorite that one time when 100mm APHE hit the front plate of my t55a at the worst possible angle and still killed me somehow somehow going straight through it....
Its funny how easily an angled Churchill can shut down an entire chokepoint. All you need to do is sit there and be a concrete wall and watch +5 enemy tanks struggle to kill you. Unless someone figures out how to overpressures you. Fuck overpressure
Churchill is fantastic at grinding out assist challenges and just being an absolute pest. You struggle to kill stuff, but excel at just being in the way and constantly shooting off barrels and tracks letting your team take the killshots.
Having recently built a lineup around the Italian Fireflies, I can say two things: Solid shot fucks if you can aim worth a damn. Churchills are some of the most fun I've had duelling. Both the turret ring and the inner mantlet are weak spots you can hit without volumetric bouncing your shells using an RNG chart, unlike IS and KV tanks.
I'm seeing a distinct lack of every single shot hitting the giant armour holes in the front and side, or hitting the turret roof and somehow deflecting downward Also a distinct lack of every single enemy being a panther than can ignore your armour
The sloped turret roof is so easy to exploit even at range. I feel bad one shotting a Churchill mk 7 with a 3.7 gun but I'm also doing them a favor so they can wise up and not take that thing into battle unless they're trying to do an assists challenge.
Can't really blame them, Churchills are a rare occurrence (on all the nations I've played enough to encounter one) so that's why most of the times you'll see Churchills getting overrun by more than 2 enemies that got enough of being scratched by its 75mm potato Cannon (Unless it's the 4.0 Churchill)
Watching Malzi play War Thunder: I can’t wait to get home and play this game for a little while. Actually playing War Thunder: -hours of misery and pure unfiltered rage-
What's hilarious is that British 75mm guns were entirely capable of using American ammunition and the best round used in the 75s are even called M61, they just don't have explosive filler because Gaijin has dictated that Britain isn't allowed to have fun.
Prime minister mk7 is fun though, despite how slow and being kill stealed everytime. You got your score as a moving bunker (absorbing shots) for the most part
And I wish I could say the same , it's been almost always full uptiers for me with my Churchill III's and NA 75's, I hope VII is different, 25% Driving 25% Getting One tapped and 50% Drinking Tea 😂. #Gaijined 🍻
They have the undisputed best tank in the world by some margin right now…but hit damn the Brits suffered in regards to home grown tanks in ww2. Thank god they had the brains to make the Firefly out of the armour the allies provided lol.
if am correct the Churchill tanks main gun would penetrate Shermans side armour like the type 97 chi ha the Soviet tanks are more a interesting one though take care my friend!
Churchill and crocodiles make me rage alot cuz armour and I don't got a shell that I can actually pen it with only 1 take has a shell other then that no other tank
Why am I thinking, that if you got hit by 50kg flying with 500-1000kmph shell, it supposed to have some damage even on tank. Irl there were histories, when tanks turrets just flew off, because of mass of the enemies shell
I never did well in Churchill croc Also I find them easy to destroy with american 76 and russian 85. just shoot the slope next to the cupola on right side
Now do the mk I Churchill. Possibly the worst heavy in the game. No armour (but you can angle) and it can not pen most mediums let alone heavies it has to face.
