Chutes and Ladders is a computer game created by Hasbro Interactive in 1999. It is based on the actual board game with the same name.
Chutes and Ladders is an adaptation of the classic children's board game of moving up and down. Players proceed along a board advancing closer to the finish when they land on a ladder space and falling back when they land on a chute space. The PC version is a kid friendly interpretation designed for 4-6 year olds.
This game is played with 1-4 players. There are 6 playable characters to choose from - 3 boys and 3 girls.
In this game, there are 3 different styles of Chutes & Ladders - Classic (Park), Zoo, and Circus. The Classic Board is a 10x10 grid, while in the other modes, the spaces are curved or zigzagged.
The object is the game is be the first to reach the top (space #100). If you land on a positive action space, you may climb a ladder to reach higher spaces. But watch out for negative action spaces, or it's down the slide to lower spaces.
