And this sound is so The Cure... I love it. Went back to their old albums and the guitar crept under my skin again... Miss Robert Smith's vocal part in this version, though.
Yes. Nice job nailing that. It's 100% "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep". The drummer turned off the snare and everything. ;) It's a complete ode to The Cure.
Same here. Sometimes all you need is a piece of art which simply clicks with your headspace in that one odd way. "Ghost in the Mist," by Lacuna Coil, had the same effect on me, several years prior.
Why do you care so much about what random people think? Is it really that important that everyone has to agree with your opinion on a song? Or are you just on here tryo g to get some likes because that's important to you?
@twas brilling Well is easy to understand. Often electronic bands are great in studio but not actually able to play live. Chvrches are the exception to the rule.
@@jamiejones9335 This collab with Robert Smith is truly amazing. I would love to see how they went about it. How much input he had whether he just oversaw production and mixing.
A song, a hymn for resilient persons 😁. I'm 58 and a fan of this great Scotish band since I heard them for the first time ten years ago. And I love The Cure since my teenage years!!!
Thanks! I did think this live performance was brilliant (hence why I posted the video), it gets the intruments out there better than the album version. It is sad for the audio compressors and overall volumes that have been abused in the audio recording (I suspect the limiters were working hard :D), and the fact that on live performances Robert is absent. I hope they will come out with a live album with this track!
Just amazing. Incredible performance. I am jealous at everyone who has been there live, especially since they also played killing moon there. Great concert.
