I think these were retired and ended up in Iran in the 90ties and they were used in Iran still wearing the CIE livery logos

Most were retired in Ireland in 2002 with two left until 2008

I'm sure they were cut up - can you imagine the rationale behind transporting ancient locomotives that far for service in such a hot place? I rellay doubt it. Nice to dream of some of them still blasting around in their IE livery!
