@@ImZeroDayz i think its my thing for the time being for brandability haha, people yell at me when i forget to wear it. Still havent gotten a comment yet on this vid though for losing it for the share-reel lmao 🤞
A huge part of why he was so affective is the fact he comes off non threatening almost like a music teacher or art teacher. Kinda like a bob ross and his voice is soft spoken and the way he articulates his words...and has a calming tone almost hypnotic
You are killing it my guy. Massively underrated I'd be willing to bet a year from now you're well over a million subs. You and Danny at Koncrete are killing it.
This man is a master hypnotist. He was weaving trigger words into what he was saying, varying his tone and his annunciation into rhythms, using pattern interupts in the form of odd phrasing and out-of-place sub verbal communication. On top of that he used inclusive language to convey commands and would switch from telling you a story to making you the participant in it to giving straight up commands as “group actions”. So much so that your speech was becoming slow and you could see it was taking time for your thoughts to go together after he initiated an “attack”. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had planted some suggestions to you beforehand and left you with dormant commands as well.
@@jasmymakemeyen666 Yes, I would love for Jim to come back on, and for Julian to ask him about MKUltra, and even about some of the former survivors of that program who lived to tell about it, like Cathy O'Brien and Brice Taylor. What about them ?
I’ve been told I am not a person who is “suggestible”. I was watching this and had a hard time keeping my eyes open when he said certain things. I felt like I had on the gas at the dentist office. Never felt anything like it before. And towards the end of the podcast, he wasn’t doing the same thing with his voice and words as he did in the beginning. I think it’s very natural for him, but I also think he can dial it in more.
Would anyone ever trust this guy as far as you could throw him? Every word he uses is so measured and elicits a response that he knows he will get. Master manipulator....Would hate to work with this guy, he's a master at his craft and can fool anyone with the way he delivers a message. I'm certain his handlers probably didn't believe most of what he told them... Scary...
You're a great interviewer. You know to let them speak without interrupting, and when to ask questions. You seem to ask all the right questions. Just subscribed 🖤
He is so hypnotic,I think what blew me was when you said what he was getting at and instead of him being “wait here me out before you blurt” he gave you credit and was admiring the fact you saw where he eas going with it. He really knows how to make people feel listened and heard
This guy is everything but the "mad dog". What a wise and knowledgeable old man. The fact that he is running at this age and takes care of his physical wellbeing is what should inspire, and it does. Thanks for the interview, Julian!
I'm an old lady. I found out last year from a therapist that my mother was a sociopath. She was brilliant and composed in public. At home she was an out of control monster. People had no clue. One neighbor did catch on to her. She was loved and beloved. At her funeral hundreds upon hundreds of people came. They had no clue of her horrific crimes. It is very odd but I was attracted to people just like her including a husband that did work for the CIA or so he said.
Sorry to hear that. I’m 37 and just learned about psychopathy, sociopathy, narcissism, and all the cluster B personality disorders. Found out my whole family (mother, siblings, etc) are all terribly abusive people who have personality disorders like narcissism and sociopathy. I’ve also sought out partners with the exact same traits as well, and have been abused my entire life by family, friends, and romantic partners. Didn’t even know I was being abused until I learned about this stuff recently. Very odd to see sociopathy and narcissism being celebrated in this very sick society we now live in, like as is being celebrated on this podcast episode. If your mother really was one, then you’ve been through a lot to be sure. I know that without even knowing you. Sorry to hear that. Crazy world we live in… literally, lol.
Or like one of those car salesmen who starts you off with what could actually be a good deal. Then you wind up talking about totally unrelated crap and then you finally walk/drive out of the dealership with....Every single high-dollar option and a 2 year carwash "coupon" that was "free". Always watched out for those guys & would end the negotiations right then & say - I'll think about it & give ya a call. Father coached me pretty good on what to look/listen for as both parents sold insurance as a side job making extra money. These guys & gals can be your best friend or worst enemy depending on how things went
In Iraq I was stationed at F.O.B. Camp Taji, this is where the so called 'Chemical Ali' performed at least some of his work. The facility was abandoned and had fallen into disrepair it had nearly collapsed while I was there in 2008. It was very disturbing, almost eerie thinking about the atrocities committed inside that facility. In futility prayed for those tortured souls.

I left what I thought was an insightful suggestion on your Andrew Bustamante video to ask him about sociopathy. Didn't realize this ground had already been covered. Great video.
Hey Julian love the content your doing an amazing job. I just hit the 20:00 mark where he is talking about how he actually uses his skills for the few tickets and such and I noticed that his voice starts to change. Almost like as he is explaining it to you he starts turning it on, I can actually visualize it then, his voice starts to carry you away almost like a sleep story. its super wild to notice.
Thank you my guy! And yes I can tell you from my perspective at least that we were both locked in and fully aware that he was turning it on. I hope it came across on camera at least somewhat as cool as it did in person. Wild.
@@JulianDorey it sure did it made me get chills when I realized it. As a Combat veteran I can tell you that it's easy to catch it on a podcast but it that was what he was doing on the day to day you would never realize it. Can't wait for the next Guest my friend.
I adore this man. Not only is he absolutely right about his voice, and presence, and the power they carry, but the honesty he displays of and with it is so beautiful. To be fair it doesn't hurt that he looks like George Carlin my personal hero and guide through adolescence and it's crazy realizing how much of the same things, Carlin ALSO wielded so expertly and naturally.
As long as they're really working for this country's people and the betterment of it, not so much just protecting the gov & corrupt people, leaders, organizations and agencies. Not working against us to just protect themselves & increase their own wealth and security
I suffer from the same thing this guy does. I'm able to befriend some really shitty people and see the good in them and focus on that, which allows me to get close to them when others won't. The problem for me is, I have no actual end goal, I'm simply interacting with the people I randomly meet, so it's all kind of pointless to do. They usually carry a lot of baggage, no, always carry a lot of baggage. And it will affect my life negatively over time, and then I stop talking to them. I do feel like I could use that ability to befriend weirdos and dangerous people for good, but I'm a former criminal, so there's really no future for me in doing anything that would help anyone, unlike this guy, who has been able to put that to use
Not gonna lie, I usually use your videos to help me fall asleep. I’ll click on one that looks cool and 15-20 minutes into it I’m out. This is the first one that I couldn’t fall asleep to. I had to watch the whole thing because it was so cool and so interesting
@TRENDIFIER All the "Thanks" goes to you, Good Sir, not me! I must admit, my "poetry piece" was a bit rushed & convoluted in my mind, & therefore not even remotely close to my best works I've written but I will have a better one next interview of yours while covering & referencing whatever is spoken of in your video. But anyway, You not only continuously raise the bar, but you encapsulate the core values of an amazing interviewer as the epitome of what true journalistic abilities consist of, which is commendable, admirable, & respectable in & of itself, but in an era where virtually everyone has an interview-type platform, the true talent of such has been watered down so much that it only serves to elevate you even higher as a top-tier level RU-vidr.
the reason the us was sure that saddam had those weapons, was because they gave them to him. he used some of them, and sold the rest long before they decided to go in on him. he just never told them.
Julian, Very impressed with your channel. You've developed a real hard-hitting interview style very quickly. This was a heavy subject, and you handled like a vteran pro!
So glad I found this channel! Keep up the great work! I still wish you would produce your shorts in a different way so they wouldn't receive so much hate because of the cliff hangers you leave us on but I understand why you do it that way 😂 I came over from the RU-vid Shorts because of a cliffhanger so I'm sure thousands of others do it as well, sadly I'm sure there are thousands that do not come over because they are too pissed off about the cliffhanger and they miss out on amazing content and conversations... keep up the great work though! I haven't seen any of your RU-vid shorts in a while so I'm not sure if you still do it that way or not but either way it seems like it's working and getting people to check out the channel! I feel like if your RU-vid shorts were more focused on the big points instead of cliff hangers you may receive better feedback but either way it seems like it's working so I'm glad to see more and more people finding this channel and coming over here to check out the interviews and content you are putting out 💪💪

This guy is a lot more conscious of his actions, cadence, words then he portrays. He is a master of manipulation I found myself becoming easily suggestible with my walls down against this man. Great pod with a fascinating guest!
Loved this podcast! Your such a great interviewer for your age. You get some really interesting guests on here. I am partial to the CIA guests because they are so intriguing. He is such a lovely guy and i can see exactly why he made a good recruiter 👍🏻
I wouldn’t be bothered with snitching on the US if, 1 the information wouldn’t hurt the US people, and/or 2, if I deemed the US government a harm to the US people. I am not loyal to the U.S. government, but I am loyal to the American people. We don’t currently have a government for the people.
You were... a psychologist in a past life. Your face is eerily familiar and your tactic well rehearsed. Future proves past, now. Never before did I see you, again. I've read your books, I'll find your soul's past trace, sir✌️
Ironically, Jim Lawler's assessment of a CIA spy recruiter lines up perfectly with many great salesperson. I work in sales and use similar techniques to gain the trust and verify my intended sales "target". I find out, by listening, what makes a Client tick, then I use that knowledge to gain their trust. A steady gaze and nodding head can close many great deals. Also, I think many great salespeople have sociopathic tendencies. It is pure genius to recognize it and use it to a mutual advantage. Many of my clients return to me, because they like being a part of my team.
I just wrote a comment about how I have met a few sales people who talked like him, and the moment they said my name with that voice/tone, I instantly didn't trust them. At some point, people in sales learned that saying someone's name repeatedly makes them connect and bond better, but it actually does the opposite for me. There was an African tribe I learned about where calling each other by their actual name was like trying to gain "power" over them and it was worthy of fighting. As silly as that might sound to our cultures, I get it. The power move of saying , "Let's take a look at that car Janer2703, I think you'll like it" "You know what Janer2703, I have been working here 20 years now and..." "Well I'll tell you what I can do for you Janer2703". They think they are being slick, but it comes off very insincere. Dr. Andrew Huberman the neurobiologist with the podcast on here says that when people really listen, they don't make eye contact for maximum focus, so I have always found those who look at me when they speak, and look away when I speak are the most receptive to trying to solve my issue, best at brainstorming with me or internalizing and empathizing. All of this is the total opposite of what people assume is the best way to connect, but this was just how I always felt viscerally about my interactions.
@@JulianDorey it was fantastic. My mom walked by and sat down to listen it was so interesting. It shines more light and understanding to me why the CIA and federal government do what they do. Committing crimes and or turning a blind eye for intelligence and national security is a good argument and with Andrew really opened my eyes to the federal government making decisions to preserve itself. I still think it’s wrong, that transparency and doing the “right thing” is still the route to go, getting this intelligence from the worst of humanity using them, then taking them down and protecting people from the worst of mankind is the way to go

Bro, I found you through the Amazon episode. The title was sounded like it was gonna be clickbait tbh, it sounded like some reddit-tier yt channel. Hooked me immediately. This podcast gives me the feelings I got when I started watching JRE back in 2012. JRE has since lost that feeling a long time ago. I'm glad I found this podcast, I been looking for something similar since JRE turned to Oprah.
@@JulianDorey No problem, man. It's hard to explain but I really like topics that I haven't heard of and had no idea even existed or considered. I'm into mysteries, non-paranormal horror, rabbit holes, internet stories, and fringe topics, underworld/true crime topics like the dark web. I feel like JRE used to dive into these topics but now... Eh. So, I hope you keep this vibe even if you blow up big, which I see happening (you blowing up, not switching the vibe lol). Keep it up, man. I'm calling it now that you're gonna blow up.
@@JulianDorey Oh and thank you for being a great interviewer. I feel like a bad interviewer can ruin an interesting topic/story by being annoying. I feel like you don't try to make it about you and you're only there to get the info and stories. You're good at this.

ASMR. That pleasant tingle in your head that runs down your spine. If its triggered by someones voice, you just want to keep them talking and you can fall under their spell in a way. His voice is triggering of that feeling.
I've never heard of this man before. I am going to check out his interview on The Team House as well. If you and The Team House are having him on then he must be legit. At first glance in the title I thought for a minute that this guy could be bullshit but after the first couple minutes, I realized he was very real. Thank you for another amazing video.

Awesome interview; I think it's human nature to convince yourself that others are not human or sub human. Especially when you convince yoursef your life is more than other. I'd be lying if I said I never though this way. Mr. Lawler, thanks for your service, I never though I'd say that to CIA agent. See what you did, you hypnotized me over the internet. Lol
The hush tone this man speaks in automatically makes the listener have to lean into what he's saying bc he's not loud and obnoxious. He's showing how a genuine interest will Trump faking that interest any day. This man could tell me a 5'2 woman that I was a 7' tall man and I'd believe him lol. So fascinating!
I have always been like this man, most people aren't really interested in people only what they can get out of them or use them for. I have always been a person that has attracted people that have needed help or even someone to listen to because I naturally care, when I was younger it would be for ridiculous levels. Now I can identify when a person is basically beyond help or are wasting my time or using me. Unfortunately it's seems to be often those closest to you that try & abuse your nature but they are stupid enough to think you aren't aware of what they are doing. 😂
Yes, I have been a "good listener" at times in my life but for a different reason. In your case, you listened because you cared. In my case, I listened because I am autism spectrum and was trying to deduce proper human behavior so I could more effectively emulate it (I am a high-functioning autism spectrum person and can passive rather normal). In the case of the CIA people, it is what the goal and objective to protect national interests, but yes people in general do really like it when you are intently listening to what they say. They mistake it for closeness or carrying even if it is not.
@Intro when I was about 14 or 15 years old during the beginning of the AOL days, in an online forum, there was a Marine who said our troops were hit by Sarin gas during Desert Storm/ Desert Shield. He said it was specifically covered up during President Clinton's first term because Clinton "didn't want to fight the Bush's war." He knew if Americans were told that our troops were DELIBERATELY hit by WMD's in the form of Chemical Weapons then there would be a lot of public pressure to continue. Piecing together from other sources I've determined the sarin gas exposure would be dubbed "gulf war syndrome."
His calm, measured demeanor reminds me of both the renowned jiu jitsu coach, John Danaher and Dennis Rader, the BTK killer lol Very methodical. Seems like a good guy though.
@@JS67137 He seems like a good guy, so not a sociopath. More of a psychopath. Psychopaths are born, sociopaths are made. Nature vs. Nurture. Most psychopaths aren’t evil. Occupations that require a steady resolve like airline pilots and cardiac surgeons score high in psychopathy but it doesn’t mean they’re evil. Sociopathy is when a person is born with a normal brain but because of a harsh environment, they grow up learning how to lie, cheat & steal in order to survive. It’s more like they’ve learned how to dissociate at will. They adapt a more evil personality because of it. There’s a famous neuroscientist who specializes in brain imaging and found out accidentally that he’s a psychopath when he did a brain scan on himself. Psychopaths can become dangerous if they grow up in the wrong surroundings but if given the proper love & nurturing, they’ll most likely end up as a scientists, surgeons, special forces in the military, etc.
PR Channel for an agency that hires Sociopaths and Narcissists. They love to paint themselves as heroes of their stories but these are people who can lie, cheat, steal, abuse their families, sex addicts, pedophiles, and more. These are people who love power and control by any means necessary. Don't believe the hype.
Another amazing video. You never fail to impress when it comes to your guest and your interviews. It sucks that you get a lot of hate because of the way you put out some of your shorts, I believe it was the way you would cut them off right before the guest would say something important people we were waiting to hear 😂 ... I hope it makes them come and look at the whole video though! These videos deserve the views. They really are amazing.
Lol wow I just happened to rewatch his Koncrete appearance last night. Great stories, and a pretty soothing voice...I could definitely see this guy being successful in his role lol

He is not giveing up secrets just putting his interpretation on things. Which in its self is valuable because he has an inside knowledge of how things work or how things are viewed from an intelligence view. He is allowed to talk but not on classified info or ongoing oops. Most that he says is already known .
From what I know personally about the CIA, NSA, and FBI, Psychopath would be a better fit, not to mention MUDERER, DRUG DEALER, WEAPONS DEALER, MONEY LAUNDERER,
I love India. Love US next as it promotes freedom of speech and press. Intelligence agencies sometimes bear the cross for the failures. Nice podcast, my compliments
