She definitely didn't steal the song she sampled it. There's a huge difference. The format, melody and verses are all different. She only sampled the hook which isn't even exactly the same. Besides she had permission and acknowledged the original singer.
samuraiboy22 I'm not pretending.... I have been rooting for her and I am beyond excited. We have to make sure we are streaming her on spotify, buying albums, tickets, etc... Im here for it... She has really evolved, you can see and hear it.
Boss Queen out of all of the artists that we know as big names, she is one of the only ones that actually put an African artist on her track... stealing?
Ciara should’ve def came out with an official video to this song, promoted it more as a single and this def would’ve blown up more and charted well. I mean 3.7 mil on just the audio and 4.7 Million and 2 Million on fan made videos?? People were WAITING for that video! Still a bop tho! ❤️🔥
I want everyone to know that this new era will be Ciara’s circa Janet “All for You” Era where Janet felt Sexier happier and free,Ciara feels the same way.
People quick to say she’s stealing, it’s called sampling and more than half the songs on the charts right now are also samples. IJS. This is a cute little bop.
rbaskin it's not really new in terms of the genre, cuz afro beat stay lit. And I'm sure she's not the first American artist to work with an African artist
rbaskin Ebony Daniels it’s called afrobeats. There are so many. To suggest some for y’all. Mad over you- run town Fia - Davido Do like that- koredo bello
Afrobeat Music Worldwide yes and no. It's good that it's spreading but people aren't giving actual afrobeat artists the love, credit and attention they deserve. They'll take and accept the afrobeats style but won't take and accept the people
I love how all of Ciara's new music reminds me of the rnb/hip hop from the early 2000's When the beats were fresh and don't all the same. My favorite era. 😁
I can't wait to see the dances in this video! Cici welcome back your place was always here waiting for you & it's an honor to see you sitting back on your throne! #freakme #freakyfreaky #howyoufreakme
I knew #Ciara's #FreakMe Was A #BOP When #Tekno Came In Like "bu-bu-di-bu-bu (I like that) Love the way you wine it Coco, I like, when you get it down so loco, Put it down on the African booooooy"
Neder Moreno pero, she STEALS everyone's swag. Amara la estupida went and stole Yemi alade swag, and I'm Haitian and Puerto Rican. I know copycats in music!
I’ve been playing this song since it dropped ! Ciara is BACKKKKK and better than ever ! Stream and let’s make sure this was on the billboard it has pop and r&b crossover feels!
