The door dash guy who brought my vodka said God told him to pray for me. We prayed together and now I'm in Celebrate Recovery, 95 days no booze and start 12 step program this Saturday 🥰🤗
That's awesome I'm a former World Champ skateboarder an old friend of mine talked to my roommate and asked how I was and then he said that he'd have to pray about me and then didn't show up for about 3 weeks oh, he just said be ready every Sunday and I don't want to hear no stories. I ended up going to a junior college where a church little group met and then from that point on my life began to change and so did my sobriety I look back I had over 10 years. The Lord took all the desire away as if I never done it which is pretty amazing
This is my story. Thank you Pastor Chad, for being like Jesus, and hanging out with us, wretched drunks. Thank God he sent Jesus Jesus loved us sinners.
I'll be honest. Watching my pastor smoke a cigar took a few minutes to get through but I'm over it and love how you are just real. Thank you for doing this. You're gonna reach the people who need to be reached. I'm hooked and can't wait for the next episode! Love this! Praise God!

Bravo Pastor Chad!!!! I Love to seeing things done outside of the norm. Outside of what most think things should look like and sound like. Seeing others in imperfection is what I think draws others in. I think you are going to reach a lot of people with this. I know I will tell anyone I can about this series just like I do the church. So many forget or don't stop to think Jesus was a Lover not a Hater! Plain and simple.
The Lord put this message on your heart and you followed through. I wept for this man then my heart was filled with joy as you unwrapped this story. I have taken my car to Mark's garage a few times not knowing his back story only knew that he had a background of helping people that were, "down on their luck," that weren't as "fortunate" as he was...... We both talked about how we go to Sun Valley (Wow, what a coincidence, small world.. lol), but never did I know his back story. He even did some repairs on my car that were very minor and didn't charge me or things that were major, he would tell me what it would entail and the cost (as not to be taken advantage of if I went elsewhere), and then let me decide what I wanted to do... he was never offended, no ill feelings if I took my car elsewhere, he was always so gracious......wow.....this blew my mind… I'm now addicted to this Podcast, thank you Chad, et al, phenomenal idea!!

Mark and I are friends. He is an inspiration to all of us in Recovery. Our stories are so similar. When we hit rock bottom, we either die, or start recovery. Oh and mine is La Gloria Cubana Maduro. Great show Pastor.

I have gotten into a group having cigars and just talking with guys in this last year. I havent found anything that allows guys to commit to 1-2 hours of relaxed conversation where you can get into the deepest conversations that matter quite like this. I honestly think its one of those moments in time where something is just working. Men are open to sitting and having a cigar with a neighbor but not open to and invitation to just 'sit and have a chat'. Ive had the best conversations with people that are old friends, new friends and ive never met before thru this setting. We named it 'holy smokes'. Start yours this week!
I leave the band off as a lot of times it tears the wrapper , I wait til the burn gets about a finger width away so it’s warm and heats the glue up and it comes off a lot easier

My only problem with this particular video -- because of Mark's testimony -- is them having to explain that they're not drinking alcohol. I LOVE Mark's story.
How is he becoming 'like the culture'? Where in the bible does it say that you shouldn't smoke a cigar? Are you assuming he's addicted to smoking? You can enjoy something without being addicted to it. I would argue that drinking isn't a sin, as long as you do so in moderation, don't allow yourself to become controlled by anything, and as long as you don't cause others to stumble in your freedom, there is nothing sinful in smoking a cigar or drinking something alcoholic.
