Where do you get the idea that he is underrated? This isn't meant as criticism i'm just curious as I think he is very highly rated. The fact that he is one of Christopher Nolans go to guys would have have me think he is very respected
Some of the comments on Cillian Murphy's wife are downright distasteful. Just the fact that he is a famous - and your favourite - actor, doesn't give you the right to judge his family, let alone on something as shallow as beauty standards.

Isn't it odd how people feel someone should or shouldn't be with another just by looks alone. Looks fade and all one is left with is who they are on the inside. You won't find true love by chasing an image.

I think it's great that he has a wife he has stuck with and kids he loves. Marriage is hard enough but when you add that celebrity element, those usually don't last. So, good for you Cillian, I hope you guys will be together until "death do you part."

I think that's the reason why he still stays with her. And the main reason-she truly loves him. :) I love the actor Cillian Murphy and his images I see on the screen. Why do you think that garnering respect for doing the thing you ought to do is sad? He's a good-looking celebrity who probably gets a lot of attention from women so his commitment, discipline, and fidelity in the face of fame and eminence is respectable.
@@mikep6167 I think you misinterpreted that. They're saying "it's sad" that people are "surprised" when a man actually does the respectable thing of sticking to his morals, standing by his family. That should not be something of awe that garners respect, that SHOULD be the way it's supposed to be. Back in the days, it was the norm, but not anymore.
he's one of my fav actor's, lovely to see a celeb so down to earth and his family too. he doesn't do the whole red carpet thing, that is totally refreshing. we should really help keep their lives private as much as possible, the media are junk for that.

I often hear people saying that Cillian's wife is ugly! That is one of the meanest things to say about a human being. Where is it written that glamorous people only have to choose as/ more glamorous people as their life partner?? Just because she doesn’t have the celebrity look doesn’t mean she is ugly in any sense! I find her very beautiful. If outward beauty is the only thing a human searching in his/her life partner, then something is definitely wrong.

I think his wife is beautiful in a very unique way. She is also a designer. Probably immensely talented and creative. Like him. Cillian has said in an interview that he thinks intelligence is sexy. He is way above and beyond the average man who wants a trophy wife.
People are very envious! You also need to understand that in the first films almost no one noticed the beauty of Ciliian. He also looked like an ordinary guy. Make-up artists in films and photographers worked on it. He doesn't look so bright in real life. I love natural people, his wife has very kind eyes. I think she's beautiful.
