Cillian Murphy on 'Red Lights,' 'Fifty Shades of Grey' 

It's rare to find an actor that can excel at playing both "good" and "evil" roles but Murphy is one of the select few that can pull it off.

What a rude interview! I cannot believe some of the questions she asked and things she said!

He's probably one of the least shady celebrities there is, and played a creepy role in Batman. And really well! Left an impression. I think he's a really handsome guy with a unique appeal.

First she craps all over his film, then tells him that he might be good fit for a horrid character, and then proceeds to ridicule his appearance. Jeez what a terrible interview. Side note, I'm happy that whoever casts Game of Thrones strayed a bit from the source material and chose Iwan Rheon to play Ramsay. He isn't ugly, but he plays the part well.

This is why the man doesn’t like doing interviews...CRINGE CRINGE CRINGE. Americans don’t get what a legend this guy is. During the premier of his movie Dunkirk, I saw an interviewer from MTV ask him about what he thinks of Harry Styles’ (who was also in the movie) short hair! I couldn’t deal. Of all the questions to ask this brilliant actor who has been in The Dark Knight trilogy, inception, sunshine, red eye, breakfast on Pluto and Peaky Fookin blinders, THAT is what you ask him!! Can’t deal! It’s like having a chance to interview Leonardo Da Vinci and asking him what he thinks of Billie Eilishes hair color...🤦🏻‍♀️

At the beginning he's fine and chill and by the end when she starts talking about wormy lips he's just sat there like... well fucking thanks. I love him so much.

At first I kind of admired the interviewer for being a little more bold with her questions but then she started to go on and on about what its like to front a movie that has less-than-stellar reviews and pretty much insulted him with the whole "casting" thing so...thankgod Cillian is such a classy man.

How can a person be so perfect - these eyes, the mouth, face, voice and the way he behaves and of course his capability to act...just everything. Such an unique human being. His wife must be a very lucky woman. What would I give to interview him. Probably would die before it could even happen. :-D

This interview seemed a bit awkward, I don't know maybe that is just my interpretation. But it sounded as if she was saying the film was bad, and perhaps even slightly insulting his appearance. Would it have killed to say "No, it was a compliment" or just anything? Because I mean, damn, have you seen him? He's bloody flawless.

I love Cillian, he is an amazingly talented actor, but has kept his feet firmly on the ground, he seems humble, shy, eloquent and a genuinely nice, grounded man, he's very special and his star will continue to rise...

I’m becoming gradually obsessed with this man ! For someone who doesn’t like interviews he’s actually done quite a lot of them and he’s worked with so many huge Hollywood names! He always looks demure and kinda shy in interviews then next thing you know he is stomping someone’s head in on the set on Peaky Blinders! I love that dichotomy with him that he’s played such an iconic hyper-masculine character and then on the other side he just seems like the sweetest guy ever who just wants to go home and take a nap !

I am a guy, and Cillian Murphy is my favorite actor becuase he adds so much drama and so much...realism to the film. He is a wonderful action hero as well as a villain. He's a great romantic actor and a great detective. He's just the best.

I just watched Redlights...amazing film...the critics were mistaken. Gripping and Mr. Murphy was outstanding. Barbara Chai was way off, she could not have seen this film!

irish accent suits him better, it reflects his nobility.. but it's sweet how it jumps every now and then when he's trying to speak with american accent :) My mind was blown when I realised that he really would be the perfect Grey, I never have thought of that before..but I also agree that he is too good for that part.

This man is riveting. So measured, so centred and brings that to his acting. Concentrates on 'being' rather than hurrying towards the next move. Red Lights had me in tears. Don't get all the criticism. As for Misterman - Cilly showed his world class talent to all the London luvvies. I was proud! And he's only 36. He said he wouldn't do trash. 50 shades? Serious, serious, serious? Does he want that kind of global heart throb fame?

I hope to God Cillian doesn't end up in a 50 Shades of Grey film. He's way too talented for that piece of crap book (and yeah I know he has been in some bad films). And he didn't seem particularly thrilled by it in the first place according to this interview.

You're right, and Cillian is an actor with a lot of strenght and he has a thing for tormented characters. It would be interesting i guess, but is scary too, i can't imagine that book becoming a decent screenplay xD But i agree, with the right role he'll be definetly bigger and better than Brad Pitt.
