The issue as usual is management that refuses to pay talented player's. Jesse Bates should still be here. How many other's should be here. Here is what happen Bengals acquired talent went to Super Bowl, went to AFC Championship in 2022. With success comes talented player's who want to get paid. Bengal's paid Burrow and they decided to let other talent leave. They are not going to pay Higgins and YET still refusing to pay Chase. It's obvious it's reverberating through the locker room the organization is not committed to winning. The player's sense it's just a Professional Job. The Brown family would mess up a dream.

I mean I get it. If you can't beat the Chiefs in a regular season game then you wonder what the point is. Then too, and possibly even more demoralizing, the ref ball makes it feel like you can't win even if you did win. That is something that the NFL needs to address and improve on. As for the Bengals, they know what they need to improve on.

I said before the season that this team is in a rebuild and nobody believed me. We’ve lost Chido, Reader, Boyd, Jessie, Mixon, and soon to be Tee. They’ve downgraded at every single one of those positions outside of maybe receiver. One of our starting cornerbacks is a failed project at safety. Tee has one foot out the door and Chase was disgruntled and missed camp. Our run defense was terrible last year and they did zero to address it. It is what it is.

Us Skins fans are long long overdue and yes, we deserve it. We have never had a franchise QB. Even our 3 SBs had 3 different average QBs, which Joe Gibbs deserves far more credit for . All the while - he’s best suited for Mike Hiltons position! Defense shouldn’t even be allowed in the locker room after that game. @London1609 Umm ok. He is mediocre at best. A rookie in Daniel's out played him. C'mon man. He padded his stats in 4th Qtr when Washington started playing soft. Look at NE game and he wasn't much better at KC. He is not the elite QB people think he is. Kind of reminds me of Cam Newton 1 good year and then mediocre. Blow on him and he gets hurt. @@gregbertsch2853 He did not “pad” his stats, he was out there trying to win the game with absolutely no defensive help. Only reason the offense didn’t get the ball back earlier in the second half was because our defense was like a piece of paper and the Commanders controlled the time of possession by running the ball. Joe did what he could with the time he had. Joe can’t do anything about the defense. He doesn’t play defense. I’ll give you the NE game, because he obviously wasn’t the most comfortable in that game, but in KC he was way better. The bengals missed on some opportunities to score touchdowns and the fumble and drops didn’t help, but they still looked a lot better. Also, Burrow’s had only two major injuries that kept him out, so stop with that bullshit too. When he was healthy, they went to the Superbowl in 21 with a shit oline, back to back AFC championship games and were the back to back AFC North division champs in 21 and 22, and he started playing elite ball last year before he went out, and has been getting better every week this year despite this “never before seen wrist injury” that everyone said he wouldn’t come back from, so no not just “1 good year”. It’s not hype all the proof is there, the bengals just need to get their shit together rn

The defensive unit failed big time last night, giving up all those points. The Bengals lost the game in the first half. The offense scored enough points to win, but the defense couldn't hold them and couldn't get the job done.

As a Commanders fan I am cloud 9. The last two weeks have been fun for Commanders fans as we are not used to success. You guys are mentioning that the Bengals didn't stop the Commanders from scoring a single time, but for the Commanders that is back to back weeks. We had 7 possessions against the Giants and scored on all 7 drives against the Giants. We also scored on our last drive against Tampa so when you add the six scores against the Bengals, we have scored on 14 straight possessions (6TD's and 8 FGs). What was different about the Bengals is all but one of the six possessions went for TD's. Coming into the game we had scored on 8 straight possessions but it was 1 TD, 7 FG's. But coming into the week our offensive efficiency by EPA was 5th and our first down rate was 4th in the league. So there were signs even before this game the offense was a little better than expected (most projections had this offense around 30 out of 32 in the preseason). Kliff is doing a fantastic job. We have weakish O-Line. The O-Line last year was bad and this one is probably about the same. We were tied for the second most sacks allowed last year. But the advanced statistics tended to rank last year's line more like 20th out of 32 rather than like 30 out of 32 which was the general perception. Our receivers were probably better last year with Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuels, we probably in the 20's in the terms of receivers. Jayden Daniels and Kliff Kingsbury are both doing a fantastic job. Cam Britt-Taylor is right in that Kliff is doing a fantastic job of not putting hard throws on Jayden. Last year under Bieniemy slightly over half or passes were true pass pro sets according to PFF this year that number is about a quarter of pass plays (PFF true pass pro sets subtracts quick game, rollouts, and playactions from passes). It does feel like a college offense, but its actually been effective in all three games because it minimizes our weaknesses and its well designed. That said it probably has a fairly low ceiling and Kliff would need to change it as the Commanders become more of a playoff contender in future seasons.

But we moved the ball well against the Giants. 7 possessions 425 yards , got into fg position every time. 0 for 6 in the redzone (though it was really 0-5 because after we got first and goal on our game winning drive against the Giants, we were just centering the ball to kick the game winning fg as time expired rather than trying to get a TD). We had 6 penalties in redzone (5 false starts and one hold)plus we dropped a TD pass against the Giants, so you could dwell on the redzone inefficiency or you could focus on the fact that we moved the ball up and down the field against the Giants.

They just don't have the talent on defense. Zach Carter shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Cincinnati after last season and he was starting tonight. I have probably heard Sam Hubbard's name called twice in broadcast this season, he's regressed. I think this defense is on the front office for the most part. Jessie Bates should have been paid long ago, he was given the contract he wanted, just didn't give him the guaranteed money, and now he is talked about like the best safety in the league while we see underperforming safety play. Drafted Dax Hill, wasted that pick. Draft picks have just not panned out for even backup level players. Should have paid Trey Hendrickson when he asked for it, God help us when he is gone. Lou is also to blame, but we've put him in a tough position, we just don't have star players. The front office needs to get with the times. Lost DJ Reader and didn't get any sort of suitable run stopping replacement. Sheldon Rankins is clearly a massive downgrade. DJ Reader was arguably our best player on defense and we saw what life was like without him when he was hurt. He signed for so little money we could have had him and Rankins on the same team right now where Reader is gonna be back any week now.

Zero fundamentals on defense. Still an unprepared team overall, but that defense was the worse performance that I can remember. I feel like we need to get back to a Mike Zimmer type defense based on fundamentals. I’m sick to my stomach and it’s the next day. Vile performance.We also have a terrible consistent history of playing terribly against rookie QBs (both good and bad).

The Bengals just didn't execute in the Redzone the way Washington did tonight. The Bengals got stuck playing from behind and this Bengals Defense thrives from playing with a lead with their pass rush leading to sacks and Turnovers. @@ryanmckeon6728 Well Joe Burrow is the core player he is 27 years old. If he can stay healthy he will be in Cincy for another 10 years. As long as Cincy has a healthy Burrow with his skill set the door is open for success again. Look what Harbaugh is doing with the Chargers. Harbaugh came in jettisoned all their high priced skill player's. Improved the lines and brought in a couple FA RB's. Charger's are not going anywhere this year but Harbaugh is building a team. Buffalo is doing the same thing they traded Stephon Diggs. Trade the high priced WR's and use the saved money and picks on other facets on the team. WR's last few years have been getting these huge contracts but I think we are going to see a regression just like with the RB's. If you have an elite QB he should be able to deal with not having great WR's.

Coming to grips with the fact that our defense is awful and our season is over. It's hard. Feels like a loved one passed away. Just 3 weeks in and all that off-season of reading and looking at draft players and waiting for the bengals to spend money that never happened. All hopes built up will gone. And this time it's not coming back until big changes are made. And after 35 years of this I'm not convinced that will ever happen. It sadly appears Carson Palmer was correct and that really hurts

What we saw on the field tonight was past AWFUL......it was flat out embarrassing. The defense looked slow and indecisive. They looked like a team that has been told all off-season that they are Superbowl contenders......BUT......forgot the game isn't played on paper......Can they turn it around? 1. Season over. 2. Time to consider a coaching overhaul. I have watched NFL football my whole life and I have never seen a more unprepared performance than that defense last night. All teams have injuries. You get a stop. Daniels played well, but he took short passes and made a couple deep throws. Final TD was just a prayer covered poorly. After surrendering 4th and 16 to Mahomes by not rushing anyone I have had enough.. 4th down was game and Cincy should have called a timeout after they got a look. Commanders 3-3 on 4th down. Loser ball. 4. Bengals are wasting Burrow and Chase with bad moves. Trent Brown, injury risk, signed and gone for season Game 3. Sign someone else and keep Reader. Tee may have helped Chase last night, but he has missed too many games. When you didn’t sign him last year, you trade him, sign Reader and close deal with Chase. Failing to sign Chase was absurd. I am not interested in excuses. Bengals don’t have leverage on everyone. Chase and Burrow are two where they lack leverage. Not hard. Burton needs more snaps. No great QB stays with two great WRs whole career. You get one security blanket. Chase is the guy. 5. This entire season is inexcusable. Team has been unprepared for two of three weeks. Playoffs? Playoffs? We’re talking about playoffs? With Burrow we should ONLY be talking Super Bowls, but it appears he is going to be Matthew Stafforded. A great talent wasted on a loser organization. I wish they had won the Bowl when they had the chance. I thought they had a better team in 2022 when they choked at KC. I also thought the team was a Super Bowl team this year. LOL. Taylor is not the worst coach, but I still don’t love Perine with ball on 3rd down in Bowl and inability to gain 1 yard. He did his best, but coaching staff needs an overhaul. Lou has done his best, but lost the room. The team is full of paycheck guys now because it has shown it won’t pay its best performers. You find a way to sign Bates, Chase and/or Tee. Recognize your top talent. Ditto with Reader. They wind up signing Stone anyway and he has been MIA. The corners still stink, but no pressure up front on a rookie QB.

The media won't tell you how good the commanders offense has actually been but yeah 14 straight scoring drives with our "college offense". This game was tough. I’m a natural born and raised Redskin fan but I adopted the Bengals as my #2. Love Burrow and Chase. I think Cincy is destroying Burrow. The kid won a freaking playoff game after getting sacked 9 times. Now they don’t want to pay his weapons. The disrespect is clearly bothering Chase. Yes he had a good game but he had a costly, uncharacteristic drop in a shootout and blowing up at the refs last week. Bengals need to learn to shut their damn mouths until they win a SB. All the Burrowhead talk, claiming to be the team to beat in the AFC and the corner talking trash before the game is all cringe. Our defensive line played like they were a high school team playing professionals every time the commanders had possession of the ball, they're offensive line blew our defensive line off the ball like it was nothing, Jayden Daniels felt 0 pressure had all the time in the world to make plays and make decisions on where to put the ball i hate to break it to you. This game was just like last year's shootout loss to another rookie quarterback -- CJ Stroud. That loss hung with us the rest of the season. This will too. Lou Anarumo can game plan but he doesn't play. Why can't we draft and develop defensive talent? How do you expect to win if you can't tackle ball control teams like New England, Washington, and the AFC North? I heard Trent Brown was injury prone but damn that sucks.
