He’s not stupid, he knows she likes and cares for him deeply, this is shown directly in her actions. She even knows the worse of him and isn’t afraid to scheme with him to achieve her goals for Yan Lin. She even manipulated him and made fun of his weakness with the cat to get even with him. She isn’t afraid of him in this current life, it was the previous life’s confusion that caused her to pause. She thought he meant to kill her in the previous life by giving her a knife but he actually meant to offer her self defense as he had always been grateful for her saving him when they first met. He kills himself after her death in the previous life. I was listening to his speech to her and he is saying she’s not acknowledging her feelings because she didn’t want to face her fears and emotions, he is correct in that not facing and overcoming emotional obstacles can result in not achieving goals only retreating due to fear and hiding from the truth. However he is carried away by trying to prove that she hold his life in her hands that it caused her to think he’s crazy. He’s a fascinating mixture of hard gained wisdom like an old sage and an adolescent boy emotionally, the actor portrayed this so naturally. She’s freaked out by his actions as he is willing to hurt himself to prove her point that she holds his life in her hands but that self sacrificing attitude sure came in handy when she got kidnapped didn’t it, some weak indecisive person would have gotten them all killed. The truth is that the heroine is a hot head, action oriented,person, herself who gets in terrible life threatening situations by her own actions and needs an equally extreme person to back her up. Zhang Ze, whom she admired, for his integrity, is too strait laced and cerebral for her and Xei Wei knows it. Even Xei Wei’s subordinate Liu Xian predicted it.
@@TheSmokey1523very well explained. people fail to notice this. she with this character needed someone equal to her. zhang zhe can be best as a husband material but isn't suitable for her in the long run. Xie took this extreme step due to her recent actions. he can't be fully blamed.
@@afiakabirkunta If she settled for a life in the countryside and didn't try to intervene in the fates of her sister, the princess, the Yan family and You Fangin then she could find happiness with Zhang Zhe. But, she cannot stay out of their problems and as such she needs someone who can understand when it is acceptable to to questionable things for noble goals. This is why, in her life as it is now, Xie Wei is a better match than Zhang Zhe.
Que miedo da este personaje. Lo que profesa no parece ser amor, sino una enfermiza obsesión y como dice una persona en su comentario, él no puede obligarla a demostrar que lo ama. Y al verlo así entiendo porque ella quería guardar silencio.
