I love her hair colour here! It really suits her. In fact, her natural hair is brown, but I believe she should totally keep it blonde. It is really natural and feminine.
I know I'm replying to an old comment and sorry for that, but she doesn't look natural with it. It was really wierd in the movie since it didn't fit the period. They should have dyed her eyebrows, that would look much better. Natural blondies have eyebrows only a bit darker than their hair. Don't get me wrong, I think she looks better with blond hair, but she has her eyebrows way too dark.
@@lucavandewalle2647 really? Interesting! I haven't seen one. But it's true, blonds can vary. Also she looks pretty natural in this video, but for some reason, they made her eyebrows really dark in the movie
I saw the Movie.. and omg its sooooo good! Helena, Lily, Cate, and Richard were great in the movie. So many funny moments. ESPECIALLY with the twiddling duo Anastasia and Drissilla [can't remember how to spell her name lol] but the all in all? The Morality of the Story was to have Courage , Be Kind and ALWAYS Believe in Magic. [or most cases Miracles]
@@jessefulton8841 I was speaking in generality of the live action versions that they have made so far. This one isn't the only one. Brandi was in a version of this movie in the 90s.
@@eclecticadventurer my point was that, in my opinion out of the recent live action Disney remakes, this Cinderella film tops them. In my opinion also, it’s the best and most beautiful take on Cinderella as it remains true to the original and is reminiscent of various illustrations like Kimuko Y. Craft’s beautiful illustrations. That’s why I said Disney live action rather than say best version of Cinderella
@@eclecticadventurer the dress, the contrasts between costumes and sets and fabrics, and Lily James herself were all so fitting for a film of this nature. Cinderella is an archetype of the feminine ideal. Lily James looks like a 1950s starlet and pulls of medieval maiden perfectly well also. this film balanced the energy of both earlier 50’s and sometime around the 18th and 19th century. it really made it, it’s own
Awesome wholesome movie that will be seen by future generations for decades to come. I loved it. It was pure and was not ruined, by tobacco, cussing, or disgusting filthy language or twisted sexual innuendos.
+Onmysheet I don't know, there was a fair amount of that in Pirates of the Caribbean! (Then again, this isn't really the sort of film that calls for such things!)
it must feel awkward when someone tells you you can be in cinderella, then they say "yeah! They want you to play one of the ugly stepsisters! Isn't that great"
***** Actually, all of the variants of Cinderella within the history of our world has the stepsisters either ugly in appearance or of character. Only Disney combined both as far as I know...
I've always wondered about that. Some ballets solve it by having the big hunky guys play the ugly stepsisters . They're not gonna be sensitive about, and they obviously don't look good as girls, but it doesn't mean they look bad as guys. I'm sure sometimes they use pretty girls with ugly prosthetics.
Just saw the movie , Lily James is seriously extremely beautiful ! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 The perfect leading actress for Cinderella , even though there isn't any plot twist like Maleficient or Snow White & The Huntsman , I think its also good that Hollywood produced a reality movie of the original classic Cinderella ☺ Original isn't always so bad hehe 💕
Saw the movie recently Cinderella was always my first love as far as Princesses go and seeing her story in a new light just added to my love for his character. Lily was a perfect choice for Ella because she's fair and kind I just hate how people were bashing Lily and saying she wasn't pretty enough for the part.
War and Peace as Natasha? First filling the shoes of the iconic glass slipper wearing princess and now a role previously played by the iconic Audrey Hepburn. Such a good job Lily!
And if you wonder what Lily's real slipper actually looked like watch the scene when Ella took off her slipper right after her step-sisters interupted Cinderella's kiss with Kit. It's in the scene right at the end before Cinderella leaves the house.
Ok, seen it in theaters and seen it bluray as it is not DVD worthy. Beautiful movie and equally beautiful actress.. Lily did an amazing job.. it has now become one of my favorite "live action" movies along with Maleficent.. Lily captured the softness of the character beautifully..
+FroztDrake I live in Britain, and I assure you, that is the case like 2% of the time. We're not as pretty as you think. But when you do get the pretty ones... Whew...
DekuStickGamer y.. ive heard in general that british women arent THAT attractive. Im from Sweden and here's the opposite.. basically every chick is attractive.. which is.. somewhat true.
i think this is tho most iconic live action disney movie because i can still feel the magic even though i've seen it more than ten times this is definetely the best movie ever
It is so neat being part of a movie. My daughter was an actor in a movie and I was there on set because she was underage. They needed an older woman, suddenly, and I got drafted for the role. Lights! Camera! Action! I made sure they filmed my good side. The kept the second take. And they provided free gourmet food in trays set in ice. And I got to sit in a canvas chair until the time for my role onstage.
I've seen a bunch of online interviews. And usually the interviews are cringe worthy. What a pleasant interview with good questions :) nailed it I'd say :D
I found a video showing all the props used in the movie from the dresses to the carriage. All are in a museum in England, I wish I could go to England to see the exhibit.
Enjoyed this version of Cinderella. I always loved the movie Ever After with Drew Barrymore, which was based on the Cinderella story. They are both definitely romantic chick flicks.
When I saw the previous I then wanted to see The movie so badly so I did but I saw it two Times I felt like I wanted it to be real and She is so beautiful !!!!!!!!!! :-) and I even Want to marriy the prins for real and im Am going to be Cinderella for Halloween And her song at that her mother sang and that You sang at the end was just wonderful and Beautiful!!!! Xoxoxo love it
And that's probably one of the reasons. She's young she's got the whole life while her stepmother is old already and I also think the reason why she hates her is that Cinderella is so pure and innocent which we can't say about the stepmother.
There's a big sense of "If I can't be happy then neither can you." from the stepmother. She's envious of her youth and beauty, and she's unhappy with how her life went.
she teminds her of the happiness she had , she got tainted when she lost her first husband so she hates cinderella because she doesnt lose her pureness no matter how bad things get
I wonder what did they do with the slipper, the coach (OMG the Coach!!!) and the dress after the movie? Will all go to auction or to a museum? I will like to know, may be one day I will be able to take a upclose look at.
