Check out how to make cubes making the shape of a word using Cinema 4D. Great for logo animations.
In this tutorial I'll use some basic tools such as the cloner object and the random effector.

just move every object (in the objects tab) so they're at the same level. Then select all the caps, right click > connect and delete. hope it helps!

Select the cloners and go to the "effectors" tab. Check if you have the random effector there. If not, drag and drop it into there. check also if you set the mode right (object).

You need to create a new text and follow the first steps until you have a plain polygon made text as before. Make sure it sits on the same place as the previous one. Then just replace the object in the cloners to the new text. If the new text is bigger or smaller than the previous one, you'll need to re-animate the falloff so it fits right.

Try this: Instead of making the extrude object editable, go to its Object tab and set the Movement to 0 on all 3 axis. Then create the cloner and continue from there. Did it work? What C4D release are you using?

cmd+click on the small circle left to the falloff scale. If it turns red, it has a keyframe. Hope it helped.

hold the alt key and click and drag with the left mouse button around the object :)

try cntrl instead. if it doesn't work, in the menu you mentioned, select animation>add keyframe.

Hey there, your graphic card is only use in the editor preview. That mean when your work in your space turn camera change positions etc. Your CPU is for the final render result. Like reflections refraction shadows GI etc. Slow down could have more reasons. How Many clones do you have with your clone object? How many subdivision has your cube? Next Problem is, if you have the Objekt mode, you cloner will automatic set the number of the cubes to the number of the subdivision from your object.

Try this: Before making it editable, make sure you have the extrude nurbs selected, go to the object tab and set the movement to 0 on all axis. Then press c while it's still selected. Does it work?

However, if you want the same word with different colors, you can also replicate the cubes inside the cloners and change their colors, having several cubes each with a different color inside each cloner.

you need to upgrade your version to Broadcast or Studio. Go to Maxon's website. You've got all the features of the different versions there.

O processo é o mesmo. A ideia deste tutorial não é reproduzir exatamente o video que havia feito, mas sim demonstrar a técnica inerente. De qualquer maneira, podes adicionar outro random effector, desta vez sem falloff, e animar a strengh de 0 a 100%, enquanto aproximas a cam do objecto.

You probably didn't have the cloners selected when you add the random effector. select the cloners, go to the effectors tab and drag the random in there.

When I try to scale down the random effector during the animation my cinema wont put a keyframe, therefor making it not do the shrinking with the animation.

I use an i7, 8 core, 12 GB. I'm not sure about the graphic card right now, I'll tell you later, but it is a Nvidia GeForce. Check if you have OpenGL active, it may help.

would you mind tellin me wat configuration ua usin..for ua p.c ? caus ua sytem seems to work so smoothly. i hav an i7, 8gb ram with amd 2 GB graphic card..bt still then wen i do the cloner and put random effector it start to slow down so can u pliz help me in this..reply me pliz itl reli help me..

thanks for reply..when i cmd+click on the small circle it opens a new window and there are some options > animation,user interface in animation window there is a option add key frame but that cannot work i have already tried.i am so keen to do this but i cant help it pls help this..

Hey, nice video! I was just wondering, in my cinema 4d r13 the "word" stays in the screen. So not just "word" made out of cubes, but also just the grise "word" which comes there if you do one of the first steps, making a text. Do you know how I can delete the grise text, but keep the text made out of cubes?

Is the selected object different in R14 than R13? Or can you change it? Because I noticed your selected objects is orange and it's around the entire object rather than every piece in the object.

I found away to make the caps file, open up all the text letters in the nerd control click all the caps1's and then right click and connect and delete. Then you have a cap file to drag out .
