Just subbed and I can't wait to see what you create! I pre ordered the Mavo S35 Mk2. Cant wait to get my hands on it. Question, for your side handle, did you use a anti twist rosette mount? Switch did you use and does it for properly?
Thanks a lot man! Yes I used a Small Rig rosette and it holds pretty solid but currently only on 1 screw. I'm waiting for a side plate for the camera to arrive which has a rosette included on it.
@@JakubChlouba noted - I'm going to get the wooden camera version because it has arri pins but not sure if it's the same fit. I do want a side plate too
It was a pleasure to met you in Amsterdam and be the first who knew it which camera you will get. I was curious about image quality and as I thought is amazing. Waiting for the first project with Kinefinity.
Well done and congrats. I’ve also lately been looking at the new line ups of Kinefinity cameras and not a lot of people on line showcasing their experiences. Look forward to seeing what you can do with it. The Arri LUTs on the Kinefinity files is what peaked my interest, since I’ve lately been renting Arris here and there. Be nice to own something close for my indie projects.
Thanks Ray, I will be testing the camera in the weeks to come and I’m happy to set up a folder with some footage examples so you can also get your hands on it!:)
Love the video Jakub! I shoot mavo LF mk1 :) You mentioned about purchase of the camera that makes you another level and clients receive a message that you are on another equipment level. Do you let them know about such fact in your offer ? Would love to hear back from you as I m thinking how to properly articulate that I am shooting on a professional camera taht is really professional - contrary to others who ususlly sttae they are professional while using dslr and mirrorless :)
Thanks for watching man!:) So if client ask I will mention that I will be using a 6k cinema camera that has been used in documentary series nominated for oscars for best image - Secret of the Elephants. I also always try to rig the camera up a little more than necessary to impress the client especially if it’s not a client used to video production👍🏼 Obviously you can create incredible images with mirrorless cameras but in front of clients a bigger rig has that “wow” effect 💪🏼🎥
Love this video and your channel! instant subscribe! This camera is actually what drew me to your channel - was curious about a the native ISO's - is it actually 800/5120 like their website shows? I've seen mixed information, and would love to hear more if possible! Thanks!
Glad to have you here Miles! Yes, it is actually Dual Native at 800 and 5120 which is awesome! The 5120 is a little noisier compared to the 800 but nothing that cannot be cleaned in Davinci.
@@JakubChlouba awesome! Thanks for the reply! I’ve been working with an FX3 for the last year, and have been able to work a good bit out with that camera; I’ve for sure gotten spoiled on the base ISOs of that camera, and saw that about the LF and was genuinely surprised that was a listed spec. Admittedly, having E mount as an option has made me look at the MAVO LF closer too. Lots of glass invested, and want to be wise financially. I also have a Canon FD kit, so it’s your lenses too! Thanks again for the response!
@@iammilesq FX3 is a great camera too! Yeah I like the mount variety on Mavo and the image is👍🏼💪🏼 def would recommend to rent it first and see how you liking it man.
@@loudmotion5639 Don't get me wrong S1 is in my opinion a great and also a very under rater camera however the comparison wouldn't bring too much benefit in my opinion as the cameras are completely different and targeted on different users :) I highly doubt that anyone will be deciding wether to buy S1 or Mavo LF M2, the cameras sit in a completely different range.
Hey man, amazing choice. Not many people know about it but it has so many great features. Simple things like native vmount (no complicated 3rd part battery plates that fail) and one of my favorite things is the large oem screen. Congrats man. Fellow AOD’er in Florida. I just picked up an Fx6 and it’s so much easier to use than my previous dslr’s or even c70. Keep uploading!
Thank you brother! Yes, I’m extremely happy with the choice and can’t wait to out it through a proper doc shoot haha🎥 FX6 was the second option but I hate that you can’t record audio without the handle😭
New sub here and thank you for showing the image it’s beautiful. I wasn’t sure about this camera before but now seeing your image in here and you talk about it I may start looking into one myself.
More footage incoming soon! :) Currently start up time is quite long - about 40sec but it should be drastically improved with the new firmware update that is coming in the next 2 weeks.
@@JakubChlouba very nice! Just goes to show that a nice color grade and good content is most important 🙌 I wish my Sony had stabilization like your LUMIX 🤣
I feel you with the FD to EF adapter. I also love shooting with FD lenses but I also feel like the adapter makes the lenses even softer and it's so difficult to judge focus when in front of the camera at some distance to the monitor haha
Yes man absolutely, the adapter is wack! I have 2 of my FDs cine moded to EF mount and those work perfecty but it cost some money to do it. In all honesty I should have just use the Sony E mount which came with the Kinefinity and then get FD to E mount adapter as that is only a metal eith no optics in it.
@@JakubChlouba Ah that's very cool that it came with a sony E mount. On my RED I only have the EF or PL Mount, I've seen people cine mod vintage lenses by 3d printing an EF Mount for them, I'm gonna research that a bit, might be a cheap alternative.
