What a killer piece. I’m hunting hard for one. You always offer the most informative and immersive reviews. Best statue reviewer I’ve seen on RU-vid and very appreciated-cheers!
Thanks for the kind words and good luck finding one. As you know from watching I firmly believe it’s still the best version of the endoskeleton ever made.
I saw one on ebay this morning for over $12,000. I could only afford the Sideshow 1/2 & 1/4 Endoskeletons. Which I bought both at auction for under $1500. I am super happy with mine, but if I ever become rich I will definitely buy this one too. Lol. Thanks for sharing.
Well 12k is ridiculous. But I think 2-3k range is not unreasonable. Good luck. You never know. Prime 1 is making an Endo and that might bring down the Cinemaquette price if theirs is really good.
I’ve seen that $12K listing for years, lol. No one on earth is dropping that kinda money for it. Like dfchang813 said, 2-3K range is reasonable. But yeah, Prime 1 is making it soon. The Cinemaquette Predator is not as valuable as before due to the new monstrous Jungle Hunter for the same reasons.
@@Galactusz007 I agree but for those of us who care about legacy there can never be a piece better than Cinemaquette because Stan Winston was involved. And same for Cinemaquette Predator because of the involvement of Steve Wang. Similarly the original Sideshow P1 was made under direction of Stan Winston and that can never be topped in my mind because of this. Although all respect to Prime 1 their Jungle Hunter looks amazing.
Beautiful piece. Definitely a grail and classic. Prime 1 is releasing one just went up for sale and it looks no where close to this. The teeth are gapped and terrible, and it’s most likely pvc and polystone. Congratulations on owning a piece of history
Appreciate the kind words! This is personally supervised by Stan Winston when he was alive and has a certifiable of authenticity signed by him. For me it’s still the only endoskeleton I need in my collection. 🥰
Thanks so much! And happy new year as well. It’s all about the time and energy. 😅. I have so many cool pieces but sometimes just have a hard time getting review out. 😬
I like this more than the Prime 1 as far as sculpt. Everything else on P1 is superior imo regardless of the heritage. Apparently they're working on it still to improve. What did you think of it?
I’m sure Prime 1 will be amazing but it better be for the price and the fact they have over decade cutting edge tech. This was made under Stan Winston direct approval so accuracy I unquestioned. It’s all chrome plated at least. Did you know you can use super fine steel wool and actually clean it to shiny chrome? Is P1 chrome plated? And it’s still one of only if not the only endo that has full vertebral column. Not sure if Prime 1 has that. Even lifesize didn’t. So for those reasons I still think this Cinemaquette Endo is king. But we will see what Prime 1 production and decide.
Prime 1 is great but for me too big and too heavy and too expensive. Also where is Prime 1 complete vertebral column? Is it completely chromed? Did Stan Winston supervise its production and is it from original maquette? Where is Stan Winston’s signature on the Prime 1 piece? Wait. Does Prime 1 have a certificate of authenticity signed by Stan Winston himself? No?? Then I’m afraid the OG is still … the OG. 🤷🏻♂️😉
@dfchang813 seen some sideshow alien busts that john rosengrant of stan winston studio supervised production of goes below retail price despite it being a superb piece. Simply because its old. We have seen this with p1 JH and how it outshined the ecc piece again simply because it's old. U have and u love it that's what matters 😌
