just received these today so haven't tried them yet. But I've watched a few youtubes on these filters and seems most sample videos with the filters on have stuttering. Including yours from 9.34
Hi Graham. Top video 👍🏼 I have the all day 8 pack and have only had a brief play. I’ve noticed and now seen some reviews of the ND filters having a negative effect on Rocksteady... Appreciate the cinematic look isn’t about lots of movement anyway. But was hoping to achieve some nice 60fps, slow mo 30fps walking shots. Now there’s noticeable shake and movement. It seems it one or the other. You can’t have both. Any suggestions?
.... thinking 🤔 seriously about the Osmo Action ; i been looking for a waterproof camera 📷 for a few years now . Thanks for the insight... well executed like always.
Did you try using the filters when in the Rock Steady mode? Another You Tube reviewer said the videos lost some of their steadiness in Rock Steady, with ND filters in place. Something about the way DJI speeds up the shutter speed to achieve a higher stabilization rate and the ND filter slows the shutter speed which contradicts the stabilization effect! It's not a total stabilization removal, but enough to be noticeable.
Hi Graham! I have a question about FZ1000, if you could please kindly answer for me. In M video mode with M exposure - there is no auto ISO feature. I know there is in photo M mode, and I've seen your video on that, but what about video? Seems like it would be a good thing to have, what I am getting at is that I would like to set static shutter and then just have control over aperture according to my scenic needs, with ISO auto adjusting to the static shutter and me changing aperture. What is your take on this?
Yes auto ISO in M video mode is not something that Panasonic have adopted. It's not even on the videocentric FZ2000/FZ2500 either. It does make manual shooting difficult in changing lighting. As shallow DOF is hard to achieve with the 1 inch sensor I tend to shoot P mode when the light is changing and accept the compromises.
