I love these videos (especially from Japan since it's my dream to visit at least once in my life) and you're really such an inspiration... unfortunately I'm stuck at my 9 - 5, with no time and money to shoot film. I had an XPan II years ago with all 3 lenses…like many people I regret selling it and I’m considering finding a nice TX-1 and your shots are helping to tempt me back! Hi again, I came to think of something after watching this last night. About the inconsistent results with the xpan. I remember from an earlier video that you usually shoot aperture priority with the xpan. I recently realised that the metering in the xpan is very center weighted, almost spot. This can be a bit tricky, in particular in the dark conditions you shoot in. If the center happen to be a very dark or very bright, the overall metering might not be ideal. I also enjoy the carefree nature of aperture priority, but with the xpan it might be necessary/worth it to pay some attention of what it chooses in certain conditions. You should shoot it more, it was made for you, the photos you take with it are gold!
