I hear people praising Gus Johnson but this was the first game I can remember him calling that I’ve watched and some of the phrases he used were straight up weird, or he was fumbling over words, or mispronouncing names

@@IowaRonin prepping the second string certainly wasn't done by PSU. Maybe also learn when to use a silent count when in an environment that loud 8 false starts was more than enough evidence they needed a change.

@@camerondickson9347 They still were playing exceptionally. There were two or three missed assignment in zone that led to their few big plays. If you do recall they picked Clifford off twice.

@@maybeJace and there were even more missed assignments that lead psu receivers wide open but a redshirt sophomore second string qb, who had never seen real game time, couldnt hit the target. That game is different with a healthy clifford. Even with the 2 picks, only netted you guys 3 points. I would argue PSU's defense outplayed Iowa. If Cliff stays in, and psu picks up a few first downs and runs the clock down, even if they don't score again, thats the game. Dont get me wrong, Iowa won fair and square, but I really hope for a rematch at the big ten chamionship... look at the stats from the first 17 minutes of play before clifford came out, it was ugly for Iowa. They got a break with 5 PSU players injured, ( which by the way lost all respect for iowa fans after all the booing of injured players) and it took them 3 quarters to complete the come back with a very hurt psu team. Solid win tho?

@@camerondickson9347 Iowa’s defense takes a few series to lockdown how the offense is tying to attack them. Most of the points they give up are early, and it just gets tougher to score in them as the game goes on. Penn State has a great defense, no question. But Iowa’s is just plain better. Sorry not sorry.

The announcers just said Iowa's schedule is not that strong. PSU division has 4 ranked teams. Only Iowa is ranked in their division. Bama and Georgia would kill Iowa.

@@nicholasdunkel8943 so their game plan was let’s fake one of our best defensive players getting hurt on the first drive and not have him return for the entire game to really sell it. Then we’ll have his backup get hurt for the rest of the game to really sell it. Then let’s have Clifford get hurt in the 2nd quarter and not return so we can really sell it. And they obviously can’t do this again for another game cause everyone will catch on, but yeah let’s pull these fake injuries against Iowa so after we beat everyone in the East we can show Iowa how good we really are in the big 10 championship just so they can say got ya!
